What spare parts can I get from IKEA and how much do they cost?
There are three types of spare parts at IKEA: small spare parts, larger spare parts and spare parts for household appliances. Prices depend on the spare part you need.
- Small spare parts: Small spare parts are used to assemble or repair IKEA products and include screws, bolts, knobs, plugs and other similar mounting elements. Each small individual part has a 6 to 8 digit identification number, which can be found in the product's assembly instructions or can be accessed via Purchase history if the order is linked to a IKEA Family account. Small spare parts can be ordered at any time after the product has been purchased and are delivered free of charge.
- Large spare parts: These are larger pieces, usually furniture parts such as side panels or drawer fronts. They are included in the box when you buy an IKEA product. Large spare parts do not have a 6 to 8 digit number and can only be obtained by contacting Customer Service. The cost of large replacement parts depends on the part you need. For more information, contact our Customer Service by visiting an IKEA store (Customer Service is located outside the store) or by calling us on +32 2 719 19 19.
- Spare parts for household appliances: all Appliances sold at IKEA are covered by a warranty. During the warranty period, repairs and spare parts are provided by the Authorized Service Centers. If the device is no longer under warranty or if the warranty has expired, spare parts can be ordered via the external supplier ASCI, accessible from the IKEA spare parts page. ASCI only supplies parts for household appliances purchased a maximum of 10 years ago. ASCI's terms and conditions are available on their website.
To identify the correct part, you will need the manufacturer's name, model, and serial number, which can be found on the nameplate usually located inside the device. The price depends on the manufacturer and the type of part. Information on Appliance suppliers are available on IKEA.be. Here is a non-exhaustive list of spare parts available for our appliances:
- IKEA home appliances : ovens, microwaves and hoods, washing machines and dryers, electric coffee and tea makers, refrigerators and freezers, dishwashers.
Exception : IKEA mixer seals are not sold as spare parts. They are made of ceramic, must be replaced by a certified professional and generally have a lifespan longer than the warranty. - Non-IKEA Appliances :
– Refrigerators and freezers: door handles, hinges, trays, baskets, door seals.
– Dishwashers: hinges and seals, spray arms, drain filters, inner brackets, plastic elements (baskets, lids).
– Washing machines: door, seals, door locking system, plastic elements such as detergent dispenser.
