Colour not as advertisedMitchellI work as a professional image retoucher, my whole job is making sure product photography match the products, this has completely missed the mark. The colour when off is not exactly correct, it is close considering it has been cut out on a white background. It appears to be darker in the photo whereas in person its more of a light orange. The main issue is when the light is on, the light in person emits a very pale yellow tone whereas the lifestyle images give off a very warm orange & even very oversaturated orange in one image. The light itself is nice, big & emits the perfect amount of light. Unfortunately the colour is so pale & close to white it almost feels sterile rather than the warmth vibe you would be wanting.2

Quality issues on an otherwise great designJonathanRecently bought one in June 2024 when these lamps were released a second time after it sold out very fast during the initial release and me missing out.
The lamp has obvious quality issues with multiple air bubble specks throughout the lamp. When I realised this I checked other new lamps in store and after going through about 5 they all had the same issue. I ended up returning the lamp as it wasn’t worth the $99 with the lack in quality. It’s a shame as the design is beautiful.
The switch for this lamp also leaves much to be desired. Rather than being an inline switch on the cord it is a very cheap feeling sliding switch on the back of the lamp. It would be better if this lamp integrated smart home so could be controlled remotely. 2

Colour is false advertising SarahIncredibly disappointed with my lamp and these new batches having a completely different colour compared to what’s advertised. I waited over 16 months in trying to get my hands on one and my closest ikea takes about 1.5hrs one way to get to by ptv. I have seen pictures of this lamp that my friend previously bought last year and it’s very orange and accurate to what’s shown on the listing. However mine is a pale yellow colour with the inside paint being speckled and streaky inside the lamp. I really like the shape of the lamp and the original orange hue, I just wish I could exchange it with one that’s more orange, but it feels impossible to see the colour accuracy without bringing it home and testing the colour myself, which is too much of a hassle. I feel scammed out of my effort, time and money. Also with this lamp being so popular, I feel as if ikea is just trying to make mass profits by rushing/being lazy with manufacturing and cutting costs by producing inaccurate coloured lamps.1
