Broke within a few weeks of using.DonnaI’ve previously had these blinds and they worked great, so I got them for a new property. After a few weeks of using (down once at night and up once in the morning) the blind is now stuck down on an angle and I can’t get it to go up. So disappointing and I’m no longer close to an IKEA store to return.1

Functional but Not PrettyKayBought this to replace a more see through blind which uses the same clips. It is rather bulky and not very pretty to look at but does a good job of blocking out light and heat. Only colour choice was white so I hope it doesn’t show too much dirt and dust as not sure how it can be cleaned. Also looks unappealing against a light coloured wall. Be precise when you put the clip on the bottom as once it is in position, it is impossible to move so mine is currently a bit off centre and I can’t move it.3

Perfect for blocking heat and lightAmyThese blinds are easy and functional. Would love it if there were some alternate sizes, eg a 90, 70cm or 50cm would make a big difference to adding together to get different sizes. It would also be wonderful to have a longer option for glass doors. Otherwise great!4

The white color is somewhatSusanneThe white color is somewhat stark, but overridden by how effectively they modulate the room they are in. I've had them (3x120w blinds) up for about 3 months now, easy peasy to install, and through the 3-9°C winter nights, without any other window treatment, the room has stayed toasty once the afternoon sun left and the blinds were dropped. And the 35°+ day this week, the room remained comfortable. Blinds appear to be well constructed. Considering purchasing more... If the sizes are available.4

Dangerous product!!Anonymous reviewerOne of the Trippevals blinds exploded last night. Fortunately the spring hit the window frame, and not the TV screen on the opposite side. It took out a chunk of our newly finished window frame. I am really grateful no one happened to be sitting on the sofa beside it, as the plastic hook flew in the other direction and would definitely have caused injury. We have had these for 2 years, now and I am quite concerned about the balance of the blinds doing the same thing. This is a very dangerous design! A costly mistake, as it is doubtful Ikea will replace this blind and I am concerned that this will repeat on all the other blinds in our family room. About 7 metres of windows currently being covered. I am going to run this by Choice, as I see that is a problem experienced by quite a few people, online. Ikea should definitely re-engineer this product. It is currently unsafe.1
