Good lampKaidenIs a bit hard to put a light bulb in it because of the lid you will need a flat head screw driver but you don’t need one it just helps to open the lid
Mechanical dimming, not electrical KatyThis is quite misleading to say it is dimmable. It only dims the light by covering the top of the lamp with an extra layer of plastic when you turn the lampshade. The sides and the bottom of the lampshade are unaffected, so it barely changes the light output at all. The reccomended light bulb is E14, of which there are several. The IKEA staff member who "helped" me, sold me a dimmable globe that doesn't fit properly in this lamp. The bulb I was sold was dim, so suitable for a nightlight, but not able to be used to read at bedtime, or anything else that you needed brighter light for.

Dark Green too dimClareBought 2 of these with high hopes, to use as bedside lamps. Cute design but more of a dim night light than functional light for reading. More akin to candlelight. Returned within the week.
Won’t fit bulbs from other brands. TrishAlthough my bulbs did screw in and are a similar size, they are a few mm too tall for this to close over properly. Only buy if you exclusively use ikea bulbs.
