Honestly, very easy on the posterior when you put one cushion ($5 IKEA one does well) and it looks great on the balcony. The wire design looks minimal and doesn't take up too much visual space. In the early 1980s, our founder Ingvar Kamprad asked the Danish industrial designer Niels Gammelgaard to create the world's most inexpensive armchair that could be manufactured industrially, without filling or fabric. Niels had already designed another chair in metal with holes, so Ingvar suggested making the holes bigger to remove a third of the material. It worked. JÄRPEN armchair was born – a timeless classic given the name SKÅLBODA in the Nytillverkad collection.
