Awful! Worst mattress topper ever!TrishThis has been so bad since we got it. I like being warm but even I am overheating every night with just a thin blanket. It now has permanent indentations in it that don’t recover even after I had been away for 3 days. I opened it up to wash the cover and it’s like polystyrene packing plastic inside. Awful. Nothing like what I expected from the photos online nor the product description! I want to return it. Plus this was the most expensive topper I’ve ever bought. Better off with cheap ones from other stores. 1
Not for hot sleepers!!!TrishAlthough this has added some softer comfort to our firm mattress both of us have found it makes us very sweaty every night even when it’s a cold night. I’m considering returning it for exchange but I don’t think there’s any true alternatives for hot sleepers. IKEA should look at proper real natural latex toppers about 7-10 cm depth with the same cover design but in cotton. That would work far better. Oh and it’s very expensive for some plasticy foam in a polyester cover. It’s well made and a good design though. If you like to feel warmer but don’t want an electric underlay this would be perfect for you with a hot water bottle to heat you up initially.2
supposed to sit on top - not float aroundRinaI had a similar item before — not from IKEA — and it stayed put on top of the mattress as if it were glued down. This one, by contrast, slides around constantly and won't stay in place. Another disappointing discovery was the care label requiring 'line dry': I live in a building that prohibits line drying, so it couldn't be more inconvenient. Needless to say, the pad I had before came with a normal cover I could machine wash and tumble dry, so it never occurred to me to check IKEA's care requirements. So yep — disappointing.1
