    Care

    Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.

Nice DesignJoannaI'm really pleased with my purchase. This is a solid, sturdy bamboo desk, very easy to assemble and it goes well with my other desk. I am using it as a side desk. The drawers are a little noisy and shallow (3.8cm inside height) but I didn't buy it for that anyway. The thickness of the bamboo is 6.3cm height so special clamps would be needed if you want to put a partition with it. Would be great if it came with a black legs option.5
Lovely desk NinaThis desk looks really nice and is a great size in the shallow space that I have. It was maybe the easiest flatpack desk I have ever put together, took about 15 minutes! The only downside is that the drawers are very shallow, and nowhere actually sells any draw organisers that are shallow enough to fit them, so I can't stop my things from rolling around in them and they often slide to the back which is hard to reach because of the drawer stoppers.4

DeskLilianI like the look and design of this desk as well as the sustainable materials. It was not as easy to put together as I thought it would be. It’s important to follow the instructions as recommended, paying particular attention to the green dot/sticker that is part of the inner leg and use your fingers to attach the screws, tightening will the tool provided. I think this is a two people construction. I am very happy with my desk5

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.

“A sense of home, more than a sense of office. That was my starting point when I began designing LILLÅSEN desk. The idea is to inspire a creative space anywhere at home, rather than decorating a home office. Angled legs set the design apart from traditional desks. And because most of us just need a small laptop to perform our jobs, I also made LILLÅSEN a little bit smaller than a regular desk. Easy to fit in at home – and to feel comfortable at."
