basically works but stupid details of implementation ruin it. very disappointing.Juliantrying to use this with home assistant.... it was easy to add to the network and works great as a switch. (apart from being too wide so one of these blocks a double power point....)
But the power meter is out by a factor of 10 which is ridiculous and should NOT be an issue for a device like this from a real company. apparently you can kludge it with a special sensor setup just for this device power reading.. but why should you even have to? The whole point of zigbee is the gear is meant to be interoperable and that means having standard values that make sense. Not relying on kludges to line broken things up (which I assume they do with this plug in the full ikea setup, which is probably why they refuse to fix this broken number here)
And then the energy usage just plain does not work at all on the one I tried. Maybe it will work on others but I am past caring.
I was waiting ages to even be able to get these, now I think I want to send them back.3
The good is so good but…AdrianHooked up to Home Assistant and working great with ZHA. Simple pairing. Relay toggle and reset state handy for a smart switch. Shows instant power usage in watts.
The energy summation sensor showing kWh remains at zero. Can’t move from zero. Also they are too wide to fit two in a double GPO.3
Works well with home assistantAndrewEasy to setup. Rock solid.5
Works well with HomeAssistantAlastairif you use HomeAssistant automation software this integrates very well. Criticism is that it takes up too much space so you cannot use two next to each other5
So close to being greatRossAs many have reported, it's pot luck if you get one that works correctly with accumulated power, instant power reports ok, but 4/10 of mine report no total power usage, latest firmware, no amount of changing settings does anything.2
Energy usage does not workGrahamThis device works as a switch, and shows instantaneous power used by the load, but the accumulated power information does not work; after weeks it still shows 0kWh. Needs to be fixed to work as advertised.3
Not that kind of plugDarrellThis kind of plug is opinionated and judgy. It let's you know when you've been naughty or nice. It does however enable lazy Sunday mornings when you just can't be bothered to get out of bed to turn something on or off. A win!5
Works well but impracticalAdrianItem is being used with Home Assistant and works very well. Functions are accurate.
The size of the unit though is a deal breaker for me. It is difficult to plug most items other than a small cord next to the adaptor. I don’t think the area was used well. If it was taller and thinner using same area it would fit outlets better but currently very limiting and not friendly when used with other adjacent power connections.3
Good plug, too wideOliverWorks well and as others have mentioned integrates well with Home Assistant but again the size is a bit wide so you can’t have two side by side in a double PowerPoint which is a pain.4
Easy to set up and accurateBradThis smart plug was easy to set up in Home Assistant as with the hub and power monitoring seems really accurate.5
Good, but a bit too wideMichaelExcellent product for the price. It integrates well with Home Assistant. The square design doesn't make it look out of place.
The only problem is that it is a little bit wide, so you can't put two side-by-side in one standard wall socket.4
