Product details

Works well on all types of hobs, including induction hob.

The hardwearing sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating reduces the risk of food burning or getting stuck.

Good to know

Use only wooden or plastic utensils without sharp edges.

This product has a non-stick coating where no PTFE or other PFAS have been allowed.

Wash this product before using it for the first time.

Avoid heating a dry and empty frying pan too quickly, especially with the induction hob's booster function, as this can cause the pan to warp and negatively affect the coating's non-stick properties.

Reviews

The new Ceramic Coating is a JOKEEmmanuelThe new ceramic coating is very good at first, however it only lasts for a month or two. After that, the pan will start develop burn marks and the non sticking property starts to decline. I wish IKEA still do the old coating, but probably because of the PFOA.2
Frypans - who knew?!TammyExcellent frypan5
Food stickingPatrick JasonFew weeks of good nonstick performance. And even taking good care of it, after a while even without scratching it, eggs suddenly stick and all different food. 2
Superb ElinThis pan is great the new coating is 👍 5
No issue with food stickingSueI was a bit sceptical buying these frypans due to the mixed reviews and concern about food sticking and the coating being damaged and contaminating food. No need to be concerned! I love them! I don't use s/steel utensils when cooking to avoid scratching the surface. I hand wash and typically do not use oils/ butters when frying. Very easy to care for and great for cooking pancakes/ omelettes etc. Very happy with my purchase.5
Great frying pan, cleans so easily NicholasDoesn’t stick, and I can always clean it straight after using5
Wish I didn’t buyJessicaI replaced all my pans with this range and I’m about to throw them out. Cleaning is a nightmare, always leaves a residue on it and is never consistent with heating or burning things 1
Good quality and great price KeI have fried meatballs and spring rolls and any deep fried food, it still feel like mew when I cook, it doesn’t stick on the pot 5
This new coating is NOT non-stick ChrisThis pan used to be fantastic, but this new sol-gel ceramic coating is far from non-stick, after a few uses everything sticks and burns and Ikea have turned a great product into something that’s a total waste of money. Can I recommend these new pans with sol-gel ceramic coating ? NO I can not. 1
Great valueCassandraFor someone who usually buys ceramic frypans from Myer and spends upwards of $150 for a 30cm+, this IKEA ceramic pan is really good value! It's 32cms and a fraction of the price of other retailers and lasts the same amount of time (I replace them yearly because I put in dishwasher - your not supposed to). It's not the prettiest but would highly recommend and would buy again.4
Not as good as the original Teflon version.DanielBought the Teflon version back in 2020 and that lasted 2-3 years with the non stick surface. Then I bought the changed version to which it's a ceramic coating which technically isn't even ceramic. And the non stick surface didn't even last 6 months. It performs great the first 1-2 months and just starts slowly sticking shortly after. The surface isn't as durable as the old Teflon version3
Non stick material is awfulEmmaThe middle of the pan is not non stick after a handful of uses. Why did you change the product? The original non stick material was fantastic, the new version is far inferior. Waste of money.1
Horrible! Anonymous reviewerJust after one use it was gone. It’s definitely NOT non stick. Can’t even fry eggs without sticking even after using oil. The flame even in medium burns the pan. I had to throw mine away after 2 use as it couldn’t be cleaned and used anymore. Waste of money. 1
New non stick coating is anything butAidanThese used to be the most amazing pans but the non stick coating has changed recently and after a few uses everything sticks and burns. 1
Not worth itSashiIt started being 'NON- non sticky' after 2 uses. Can't even cook a simple fried egg without sticking to the pan. (even with oil). Got no scratches. So a dissapointing purchase!1
Great FrypansReadeLove the new IKEA frypans. Well made, sturdy, reasonably non stick (depending on skills of the chef), clean up easily. Next Visit to IKEA we will get some more for the caravan. 5
Just excellentKellyBest frypan I’ve owned and I’ve owned plenty. Non stick is great, heats quickly (I have induction) and cleaning is a breeze. I can’t fault it. 5

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
