WARNING! TIPPING HAZARD

WARNING! TIPPING HAZARD

Children have died from furniture tipping over. ALWAYS anchor your furniture to the wall with an anti-tip device. NEVER place a TV on any furniture other than a media/TV bench intended for this purpose. ALWAYS secure your TV by using an anchoring device. NEVER allow children to stand, climb, or hang on drawers, doors or shelves. NEVER open more than one drawer at the time. ALWAYS place heaviest items in the lowest drawers.

Perfect for showing personal things like photos, antique toy cars or miniature tea sets while also protecting them from dust. The BRIMNES series covers most storage needs in one coordinated look.

Good to know

Keep in mind that you need enough space between the top of the furniture and the ceiling to be able to anchor the product to the wall.

Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Warning stickersRobThis glass door cabinet is a simple design and easy to put together. It looks stylish and functional, and meets all my needs. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is the location of its warning stickers that tell you to anchor it to the wall and advising you don’t climb up it. The stickers take up a 10cmx20cm area on the inside upper left of the cabinet. They are blatantly obvious and are not meant to be removed as per IKEA instruction. I chose to remove them with a blade and it was not pleasant, required a quick spray of flat white paint to cover up the effort, but worked well and not ugly stickers.4
Brimnes Cabinet Wrong holes for assemblyDavidWe love the look of our new Brimnes glass door cabinet and bookcase but unfortunately on the cabinet in two locations the holes for dowels or screws were in in the wrong location and I had to drill my own. We have purchased many IKEA products over the years and this was the first time we have had an issue like this but it was very frustrating nonetheless. Also the "permanent" large orange safety sticker was almost impossible to remove. I understand the liability issues for tipping hazard but there must be another option rather ruining the look of the cabinet and bookcase with a sticker in such prominent locations.3
A good display cabinet thoughJianA simple solution for a display cabinet. Issues: 1. The horizontal bars of the glass doors are too wide; as a result it affects the viewing of the contents. 2. The assembly instruction could be better. 3. There are 3 heavy packages with a number of parts. As a result, it is hard to find the parts for the assembly.4
