Looks lovely, is faulty with a foot switchJulianneThis is a great value lamp. Pretty and classic. It is severely let down by the plastic foot switch which in my unit was faulty and fizzzed when you put your foot on it or the lamp was moved. Its a shame that time was wasted on selecting, building and ultimately returning a product that is flawed. Disappointment you can get over, 4 hours of wasted time is something you can't refund.

If only it had the draw down cord as a switch as it shows on the 3D image as well as the silver astrid images it would have been perfect. The desk version does!
Sadly has a foot switch instead which defeats the purpose of a lamp as you have to fumble in the dark to find it!

Elegant except for the foot switch which is a large white plastic design.StephanieOh IKEA I had such high hopes for this product. The website pictures make this lamp look so elegant and stylish! However, whoever designed the foot switch (big white plastic thing) has made this elegant lamp look cheap and it’s unfortunate that the photos on the website don’t show it. Such an epic fail in the design. I bought the side lamp also and it came with a cute dangle switch (this would’ve looked great on this one too). You can’t hide the foot switch either as it’s the only way to turn on/off the lamp. Why would anyone design this lamp with a plastic foot switch and not a cute silver dangle switch or silver round button foot switch? Makes no sense at all! Such a shame I can’t attach photos to show those who might not like the look of this foot switch design.

Faulty ProductMichelleI purchased this lamp on a recent trip to Melbourne from regional Victoria. I’m very disappointed to say that the lamp I purchased is faulty and unless I want to take a 700klm round trip to exchange it it’s been a waste of money purchasing it. The thread on the lower stem portion is missing so the stand is unable to be screwed together. Waste of money!
