Brighten up your winter with two new collections just dropped at IKEA: HÖSTAGILLE + MÄVINN

As the temperature drops, IKEA Australia is inspiring warmth with the launch of two new collections designed to help Aussies create their own cosy sanctuary this winter.

HÖSTAGILLE and MÄVINN are two unique ranges that bring colour, comfort and craft to your home, just in time for these cooler months. Both collections are available in-store and online across IKEA Australia as of 1 July 2025.

Focused on table settings and decorative pieces, HÖSTAGILLE is all about creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to slow down and enjoy being at home during these cooler months. It’s a fresh take on winter styling – perfect for those who love to entertain or simply enjoy a little seasonal magic at home. Think vibrant patterns, deep oranges and earthy tones, playful paper pumpkins and deliciously scented candles that will transform your space into a comfortable retreat.

MÄVINN has been handcrafted with heart and is back for its third iteration. The MÄVINN collection is more than just beautiful textiles, it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, community and co-creation. Featuring 18 handmade pieces crafted by artisans IKEA works with in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Jordan and Thailand, MÄVINN brings traditional techniques and natural materials into the modern Australian home.

As Magnus Nord, the Implementation Leader for Social Entrepreneurship at IKEA, notes: “MÄVINN is about empowering positive change for the artisans and their communities, like a stone creating ripples in water, the impact of it resonates far beyond the surface. When you choose these pieces, you’re investing in someone’s ability to build a future.”

From jute baskets and banana bark lampshades to intricately woven rugs, throws and cushions, each item tells a story of resilience, creativity, and empowerment. MÄVINN not only adds warmth and texture to your space, but you’re also simultaneously supporting sustainable livelihoods and helping to build a more inclusive world.

Both collections are designed to be as affordable as they are beautiful. The HÖSTAGILLE range has products starting as low as $2.50 for scented tealights, with standout pieces like the orange patterned serving trays just $4, and statement pieces like the unique pumpkin shaped deco bowl with lid for $29. Meanwhile, the MÄVINN collection offers handcrafted charm starting at $6 for jute placements, with larger items like the artisan-made rug priced at $149. Whether you’re after a small seasonal touch or a bold new centrepiece, there’s something for every budget.
