How do I cut my cover panels to create filler pieces when installing my IKEA Kitchen?
A step-by-step guide to cutting your cover panels to create filler pieces.
Kitchen cover panels are finished on both sides and all edges. The fillers is cut to the required size, and can be made from any cover panel.
NOTE: Always keep in mind that the difference in thickness should be considered.
Step 1:
Measure where the cut line will be. To get a clean cut, use painter’s tape on both sides of the cover panel, where the cut is going to be made. Mark your cut line with a pencil directly on the painter’s tape.
Step 2:
When cutting, the side that will be exposed needs to face downward to prevent chipping. Use a high tooth-count blade to make the cut.
