How do I fix misaligned MAXIMERA drawers fronts?

Our MAXIMERA drawer fronts offer 3 types of adjustment to help you perfectly align your new kitchen cabinets. Also, there are specific instructions for installing drawers depending on where you install them in the cabinet.

Assembly

For best results, follow the steps below alongside the MAXIMERA assembly instructions. There are different steps based on where you install the drawer in the cabinet (at the bottom, top, or in the middle).
Here's how to find the assembly document:
  1. Go to IKEA.com.au and search for 'MAXIMERA'.
  2. Select the MAXIMERA low, medium or high drawer. Whichever matches yours.
  3. On the product page, click Product Details > Assembly and Documents.
  4. Save the document.

Making Final Adjustments

We suggest using the assembly document for a visual guide and starting with the bottom drawer first, then work your way up until the drawer fronts are aligned.
If you are not sure, there are helpful video guides online that may help with overall alignment.

Vertical Alignment

  1. Remove the plastic cover on each side panel of the drawer.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, turn the small screw closer to the back of the drawer.
  3. Adjust the position of the front vertically until you have an even gap between all your fronts.

Horizontal Alignment

  1. Remove the plastic cover on each side panel of the drawer.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, turn the small screw closer to the front of the drawer.
  3. Adjust the position of the front horizontally until you have an even gap between all your fronts and they are aligned in their cabinet.

Depth Alignment (tilting forward or backward / fronts are different depths)

  1. Find where the supporting side rails attach to the front.
  2. Slide back the plastic cover.
  3. Rotate the end of the rail to either push the front out or pull it in.
  4. Adjust the position of each cabinet until your fronts are all level.
