What is the difference between Gift Cards and Voucher codes?

Gift cards can be issued for a number of reasons and have a 3 year expiry whereas voucher codes usually apply to limited time offers and promotions.

Discount, voucher or coupon codes

Voucher codes are usually a short string case-sensitive of numbers and letters that you can obtain from any ongoing promotions or offers, such as our rewards from IKEA Family reward keys. They usually have a short expiry period (for example, 90 days) and can't be used in conjunction with other offers.
These codes are applied in your shopping bag. Simply click on "Apply discount code / reward keys" and enter your code before proceeding to checkout.

IKEA Gift Cards

IKEA Gift cards are a 19-digit number that are issued with a 4-digit pin code that you need to provide in order to use the funds. The expiry period is 3 years from the date of issue. Gift cards are treated like cash and therefore can be used with other discounts. However, make sure you don't lose it as we won't be able to replace lost or expired gift cards.
These are applied during checkout. When you are asked to select a payment option, simply select "Add an IKEA gift/refund card" and follow the instructions listed.

IKEA Refund cards

IKEA Refund cards are issued under certain circumstances, like when you return a product to IKEA. Depending on when it was issued, the IKEA Refund card will have a either a 19-digit number with a 4-digit pin or a 16-digit alphanumeric redemption code.
These are applied during checkout. When you are asked to select a payment option, simply select "Add an IKEA gift/refund card" and follow the instructions listed based on the kind of card you have.
