Product details

With this daybed you quickly and easily create space for overnight guests. Just pull out the bed base and you get a double bed in no time.

With some soft, fluffy pillows as back support, you easily transform this day-bed into a comfortable sofa.

The large drawers have space for extra duvets, pillows, linens or other things you need to store, but want to have close at hand.

The high frame creates a cozy cocoon feeling, and is lacquered so that it's easy to maintain.

Good to know

The daybed must be combined with two twin mattresses. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.

Coordinates with other furniture in the HEMNES series.

Mattress and bedlinens are sold separately.

Slatted bed base is included.

The day-bed is not to be used as two single beds, it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

Can you believe IKEA actually used joint wood for bed slats? After just 13 months, they snapped right in the middle. Absolutely pathetic quality. Don’t buy products from ikea MohamedshaheedDon’t be fooled by the nice display—this bed frame is a complete disappointment. One of the wood panels arrived already cracked, and the drawer wood is just a bunch of cheap scraps glued together. As soon as we tried screwing it in, it split apart. The assembly was an absolute nightmare. We’ve bought frames from TEMU with clearer instructions and actual bolts and nuts that hold things together properly. This one? Flimsy, frustrating, and not worth the money. The quality is nowhere near acceptable. Avoid.🙏🏻 🙏🏻1
I absolutely don’t recommend SonjaI’ve had this bed for less than a year. I purchased it for my daughter and the quality is disappointing. The slats start to break immediately the drawers get stuck and it is just a nightmare to use over all. I am now going to need to take this apart, throw it away, and purchase my daughter something else. 1
Not A good quality productHarshAlthough it serves the purpose but the quality is pathetic. Within few months the ply that holds the mattress broke. Its not safe. I want ikea to replace the whole thing and assemble the parts. Also assembling the parts is a task.1

Quality SamOur neighbours had one. We purchased one. Both are black. We needed another one, black of course, but no, it only came in white or yellow. Not buying yellow!!!! Had to settle for white. Didn’t go with anything in the room, so I painted it. Learning from putting the first one together, this second one went together sooooo much faster. Please bring back the black!!!4

Bed arrived in good condition and was easy to put together with some basic tools. My small battery drill definitely made the process a lot smoother. The bed looks great and hopefully will last a long time.

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.

A single bed, bed for two, sofa and storage drawers solve four of the key needs in every home. The simple lines and white finish make sure it's at home in almost any setting. I've heard people say this is an all-round item of furniture - with room for all the family in the bed for two and the cat in the pull-out drawer! That makes a designer like me feel that I've achieved my aim."
