Not as sturdy as the old onesMary AnnStill a real good deal for the Kallax. Sad that they discontinued the pink. Buy the cardboard inside isn’t as sturdy, nor the zipper as sturdy as the old ones. It seems the fabric is thinner too. I’ve replaced all my old black ones with white to brighten up the room. The old ones were a bit dusty but no tips or tears, frays, thin spots, or problems considering they were pulled in and out a couple times a day on a pretty regular basis. Will see if these new ones last as well.4

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
