Super useful additionLindenBought this to hold a computer tower and various accessories. Great find!5
Overengineered, Overweight and UnderbakedJoshI've built a lot of Ikea furniture and this is by far the most needlessly complicated piece I've encountered. The unit is needlessly heavy and the drawer slide mechanisms are way too fiddly to get mounted correctly. I'd skip this one.2
Poorly cutKatie H.We are pleased with the final result, but the drawer bottoms are too wide -- the drawers were bowing out with the bottoms installed as-is. We went back to IKEA to get replacement parts (customer service there was great), but had the same issue. Ultimately, we cut off about a third of an inch to make it fit properly. The design of the drawer mechanism was also difficult, as you have to align a hole in the back of the drawer with a pin on the closing mechanism, which is literally impossible to see at that stage of the build. I don't understand why they made this design choice. Lastly, this product is expensive for what it is, and compared with other IKEA furniture.3
Great quality, Would RecommendChristopherI would start by saying it's a very nice drawer unit and I look forward to using it in my gaming room. The quality is solid and the slow close of the drawers is a great feature. Now I would like to mention my downsides to it. Like the other reviews I had an issue with the predrilled hole being off by a couple millimeters which didn't allow for the top drawer to fall into the sliding brackets correctly. That said, I had to use a drill bit to widen the hole by a tiny bit and after that it fit in perfectly. For those that are handy, this really wasn't a difficult issue to fix. My other downer with this is I believe the wheels could be of better quality. They are not smooth which worries me for their life span but I do not plan on wheeling it around so this shouldn't be an issue either. In the end, I would recommend this unit, I think it's of great quality, and still worth buying even with the down sides that I found. Would buy again.4
Too bulky and heavy with no purposeLilianaThe only good thing is that is nice to look at. But is way to heavy, the wheels get stuck often. The drawers don’t have enough space. As always IKEA had too many steps to put this insignificant peace of furniture.. not worthy1
All hardware was missingJoseIt looked nice at the store, however I was unable to actually assemble it since all screws and hardware were missing from the package.1

“Gamers have lots of gadgets and cables that easily create chaos. That’s why we decided to create an easily accessible storage unit and based it on an engineer's toolbox. You can hide cables and routers on the back of UPPSPEL drawer unit, the drawers have room for big and small things – and the open compartment has space for your laptop or charging station. The top also a big area with a high edge – perfect to fill with snacks for a quick energy boost before the next match."
