Green shelves AdamI absolutely love the color. I love the material that is used, but it’s very cheaply made. You can tell. Also it’s very wobbly. I’ve taken apart three different times and put it back together and it’s still very wobbly even with the little foot stands they give you so if you use this and you plan on putting stuff on it I definitely would put very light stuff on it and put it somewhere so it doesn’t get touched often because it is very unsteady.
Great bed side shelf! Not wobbly at allScottI'm not sure why everyone else was having issues with it, but as long as you follow the instructions its a great little shelf! It takes some time to get everything just right, but it holds its own well. For the price, you really can't go wrong with it
Do not buyKarleenThe holes do not match up so unable to screw the item together. Extremely disappointed. I should have read the reviews before I bought it. I have assembled a variety of larger items from ikea but this is impossible when the holes do not line up at all. Will be returning.
Another crooked shelfEmilyThis gets more than one star just because I love the color, which is bright but not garish. IKEA please make more (better quality, ha ha ha right) items in this green. Like many of the reviews here, I had LOT of trouble getting the fiddly screws into the corners of the shelf and it took forever. I probably cried. I bought two of these and one of them seems pretty stable, but the other is nearly an inch misaligned and it wobbles. A lot. We can all stop pretending that IKEA stands for quality now, right? It’s cheap crap, but it’s cute…
warped and un-levelKimberlyThis is a total bust for me. I know it's relatively cheap, but I still think quality control should be important. First, it wasn't all that easy to put together - tons of tiny screws in difficult to reach places. So when I finally finished, it was really disappointing to realize that the unit is so warped it can't be leveled even with the adjustable feet. It's likely because the metal is so thin and not all of the screw holes are properly aligned. In any case, save yourself the trouble and skip this. I wish I had.
Great Colorful Shelving UnitBrandonI was almost scared off by the reviews about how difficult this was to put together, and it was a little tricky. Not impossible though, and much easier if you've got a magnetic screwdriver. The angle you have to insert the screws is tough but doable once you figure it out. Also pay attention to the holes for the bracket on the back and which shelves they're on. As pictured on the product page, the bracket is on the top portion, but when I got to that putting this together, I realized I had the shelving layers misplaced. I ended up liking that look better so it worked out, but just a heads up!
Hard to assembleCarolinaLike others have mentioned it’s difficult to get the screws on the shelf. The holes where you screw aren’t fully smooth and some edges are sharp. I accidentally got a metal splinter while handling one of the poles. Another thing that was annoying was trying to level the shelf at the end. I wasn’t able to fully get it level but it doesn’t matter too much for me because it will be going behind our couch.
Two days later… and it’s still wobblyMariaThis shelf has been one of the most frustrating things I’ve ever assembled. I spent two days trying to put it together, and it’s still wobbly 😤
The screws are incredibly difficult to install because the holes seem too small. Every step felt like a fight, and I honestly started questioning whether I had made a mistake. After reading other reviews, I realized many people had exactly the same problem.
For something this simple, the amount of time and effort required is ridiculous. The shelf looks good, but I really wish I had believed the other reviews before buying it. Even after carefully following the instructions and tightening everything, it’s still wobbly. I wouldn’t buy it again or recommend it to anyone.
Pretty shelf but nearly impossible to assemble SuzanneThe holes are smaller than the screws so it's impossible to make the shelf sturdy with the supplied screws. I have assembled 3 drawer Hemnes dressers in less tume than it took to assemble this small shelf. Stay away! But if you insist then definitely don't use a ratchet screwdriver. It'll drive you crazy.
SO HARD TO ASSEMBLEWenbrokw down three times while assemling because the screw simply could not go in.. either the parts came faulty or the screws are designed too short
Great pop of color!JoseJust finished building this unit and it was an easy build for being IKEA. * No tools are included you need to have a Phillips head screwdriver * The green is not a fluorescent green color more of a brighter green. It’s not a heavy duty shelf system I put a few plants on it and some other decor and definitely brightens up the space. The adjustable feet are great for uneven floors.
Perfect size, sturdy, great colorMichaelEasy to assemble lightweight shelf that fits in a wide variety of spaces. I managed to snugly fit two (2) in a closet, and it’s been a complete game-changer in terms of space and organization. And it looks cool too!
