Not SturdyLauraThis was the first piece of furniture we purchased from Ikea and unfortunately will probably be the last. The first night we slept in this bed it collapsed in the middle of the night. We are not overweight people, in fact quite the opposite. We think the provided screws were to blame as they are not long enough. The bed is the perfect size for the space, though.
Not worth itAlexI’ve only had this bed for 3 months and one of the wooden planks cracked. I woke up one night because the left side of my mattress dropped to the floor. Poor quality material.
Great bedElizabethThis bed is perfect for my grandson.. he was moving into a new apartment and wanted a larger bed. It is perfect and he has the drawers that slide under the bed to save room as well.
Decent. But a pain to assembleByronStandards might be low but has served me well - it's not going to be a frame that lasts decades (though I could be surprised) but it's survived a couple moves. It is pretty annoying to assemble (and reassemble). But it does do the trick.
I wouldn't, say, jump on this as a 190lb man. But I certainly feel comfortable having partners over.
Buy the higher-end bed slats though.
A cheap piece of garbageKevinTo provide some context I have never written a review about something. I’ve had plenty of bad interactions with products and great ones as well. I guess this product deserves my first review. I’m writing this to provide a general warning to the public, AVOID PURCHASING THIS BED FRAME!!!!
I’ve had this bed now for less than six months. I moved to a new apartment and had to reassemble the bed. The center metal piece that acts as the primary support failed on me. The screws are the cheapest thing I’ve ever worked with. They oftentimes had me guessing if this was a metal screw I was working with or another piece of plastic. You couldn’t use a screw driver to build this thing you needed an actual power drill. The wood itself is nice but the metal they provide, look up the word flimsy in the dictionary and a picture of the “‘metal” screws and beams you are working with will appear.
I strongly recommend DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM. You are better off spending your money elsewhere.

FlimsyAnaI have bought many products from IKEA in USA and Portugal. This item was very disappointing. The headboard fell apart and collapsed with my child and I lying in bed. This a a cheap and poorly made product.

Really nice bed for for the money, but give yourself (and a friend) some time to assembleLloydI looked at a lot of white beds with headboards online and this was both one of nicest and least expensive. As with all Ikea furniture, everything comes well packed and well labeled. This bed does require a lot of dowels, connectors, and screws to assemble. And it requires 2 people to assemble well. It took over 2 hours to assemble, in part since I've learned to be very careful about which holes each dowel and pin goes in (easy to confuse), and also to put screws in loosely at first then tighten all associated with each step. If parts are not pushing together flush, check that the disk inserts are all pushed in and properly aligned. With patience and care, you will end up with a sturdy, well constructed bed for a great price.
Lasted only two years!ShuoyangThe board on the headboard side that holds the central beam starts to detach from the two legs a few months in. We tried to re-fasten it, but it kept detaching every time we did, until last night the wooden connection bolt snapped and the whole bed collapsed. Now I have to figure out how to get this garbage removed. Would have been a really nice-looking bed frame but the quality is unfortunately just not there.
So SqueakyKatieI have had this bed only a few months. The amount of squeaking that goes on every time I move is ridiculous. I’ve tried a few things to get it to stop but ultimately it still squeaks. I really like the way it looks but can’t stand the squeaking.
Need Additional Bed Slats Or Else Is UselessShinyaSteps 33 to 37 are meaningless since the hole size and the screw did not match well, the four thin metal supports are loose. Absolutely need additional bed slat, which is not included in the product nor mentioned in the product information. Four screws are in wrong size for me in Step 39, so I have to use tape at the end to fix the bed slat...
Useless without Additional Slatted Bed Base (LUROY)Shinya1. You need additional slatted bed base or else the mattress cannot be supported. Yet they did not specify the slatted bed base is needed nor is it included in the product.
2. Step 33 to 37 are meaningless since the hole sizes and screws do not match well so the four thin metal supports are pretty loose. The electrical drill barley help since the metal part is pretty tough.
3. They only give me four 105163 screws with correct size, the other four are close but do not match. These screws are used in step 39 to fix the slatted bed base, I have to use some tapes at the end since only four are given.
4. You may need electrical drill for assembling the wooden parts, some of the holes size do not exactly match the screws.
