Last StrawAnonymous reviewerI purchased this dresser, admittedly without the reviews. The draws come out halfway is a nuisance! This dresser replaces the MALM 6 draw dresser... for the worst. BUT this is not the last straw. The last straw was the pre drilled holes on one of the smaller draw was incorrect.
1st: I call ikea for a replacement. I'm on the phone for over 45 minutes (waiting and talking to person).
2nd: I send the proof of the item. And I get a claim #.
3rd: I get no response in two days, I call ikea (Another long wait - 1 hr+) My claim number does not "exist".
4th: The person orders what I need, I ask for a confirmation email. He says I won't get one and should write the claim # (again)
5th: The draw comes! With no parts! I try to order the parts on the website. No! I have to call... again.
*This process is in the 2 month process. Never show here - anything else is better
**I can't return it either because its assembled. 1
MehKathleenFrom what we could put together with bag#1 of screws, it looks like it would be a great dresser, currently it just sits without drawers because we don't have any of the screws or lock screws from bag #2. Ikea.com limits how many 'spare parts' you can order at once as well, so we may never know how well it works either. so glad we have money to burn like they do.2

Easy to Assemble -Looks Great! RobinAs is expected of IKEA products, this was easy to assemble. I did it myself by first putting the frame together in my main room, then moving it into the bedroom and finishing the drawers in there so it wasn’t so heavy for me to move by myself (I’m 5-3). The drawers slide nicely, though a little stiff at first. A note - I thought I followed the image for drawer tracks but initially put the right on the incorrect side (step 2) of the main frame. So, it wasn’t until I was ready to add the drawers did it become obvious. I mixed up what was the front of the chest with the back until the top was on. But it was easy to fix and it looks great-love it! 5

The drawers are useless.KevinWhat is the point of a dresser if you can't use the drawers?! 17" depth on the drawer, but it only opens 6.75"! Horrible design. We were replacing an older dresser from Ikea that opens almost 90% of the drawer to use. Never thought to check reviews to see if this model had drawers that opened sufficiently! Now i'm supposed to take the whole thing apart and carry the pieces back down 4 flights to return? Please!1

However, I somehow missed the fact the drawers only open half way, seriously limiting their usefulness. Now I have the expense of replacing the drawer slides with the appropriate length. I planned on buying another one because after exhausting research on Wayfair & other retailers... nothing comes in the size I need at this price point. After reading reviews I saw people say that the drawers no longer open more than 5 inches. So I went to my store and checked in person before repurchasing. So glad I did because they did change this!! So upsetting.. My current dresser's drawers open up to close to 10 inches. Needless to say I did not repurchase this dresser. Better off finding an old version on a resale site. 1
DO NOT BUY THIS Anonymous reviewerIt expired after two years of use. I only used it to store clothes. From the beginning the each drawer was only opened with the force and there is a bump you have to go over with the drawer. After complete breakdown, I had a chat with the customer service, they won't do anything about it. 1
Poor DesignAnonymous reviewerI had high hopes for this dresser, especially since the size is perfect, the material is good, and it was easy to assemble. However, I'm disappointed with the functionality of the drawers. They only open halfway, making it really hard to access or see what's inside, especially since the inside of the drawers is quite dark. This has made it frustrating to use and not practical for daily storage needs. Unfortunately, I'll be returning it.2
