The hard-wearing solid pine has natural variations in grain, color and texture, giving every piece a unique look.

If you oil, wax, lacquer or stain the untreated solid wood surface it will be more durable and easy to care for.

There’s plenty of space under the bed for storage boxes - perfect for storing extra duvets and pillows.

You can easily vacuum under the bed frame to keep the space clean and dust-free.

    Combine this bed frame with a slatted bed base with a max. thickness of 1⅝" to keep the slats hidden in the frame. The slats of a higher bed base may be visible along the sides of the bed.

MehBrittanyIt’s a very very basic pine frame, which is exactly what I expected and overall I think is good for the price. I didn’t like the staples to the wood causing the wood to fracture and look v cheap in places. Otherwise, I’m a long time connoisseur of ikea furniture and this is the first one I’ve bought where the instructions were kinda crappy and it was made poorly. Two of the pre-holes for the long screws (the most important ones) were drilled too large, so the screw wouldn’t set and I had to maguiver it in place with gorilla glue, and two other pre-holes were drilled too small so I had to re-drill them myself to get the screw to go in. I’ve never experienced this before with ikea, they are typically pretty darn good, so I triple checked the pictures and fit, but it really was just crap made.2

Better than I thoughtRhondaMy husband and I bought two and while putting the first one together had a bit of difficulty making sure all the pieces faced the correct way but we got it together and he put the second one together by himself. The bases are short but that's what I wanted. I purchased 8" mattresses to place on them and this makes the beds tall enough for my 21-year-old to still feel like an adult as she sleeps on it during her visits.5
