Old school in a good wayHeatherI was looking for something to replace my enamel bread box that kept chipping. I like the warmness of the wood. It is good size. Enough for a full loaf of regular size bread, and a small loaf, or whatever else you want to stash. There is room on top as well, I store my k-cups on it in a little basket. The only plastic part is attached along the curve of the door. It isn't visible when closed though. Hopefully it holds up.

I was going to toss it because I can’t get to an Ikea store and it’s too big to mail back. I was going to give to Goodwill but my friend told me they dont take broken items,

I bought this to stash bread so they would not have access and it discourages them from trying to jump up to wherever they see a loaf of bread as they are absolutely incorrigible. It's the right size for a few loaves, rolls, bagels, buns, etc. very pleased with the construction as well. Considering buying another one as a gift.
