LOVE the ALEX Desk!PammiI seen this desk in Ikea while shopping with a friend. She said I NEED this desk as it will solve all my clutter problems I have with my existing desk. I went to the IKEA website to order a Black color and it was out of stock. I watched and waited until it became available again and I grabbed it. I had it delivered and got $10 off my delivery for having an IKEA family card. It was put together by "Task Rabbit" and it is perfectly sitting in my apartment now with all my clutter INside this desk. Thanks IKEA!!!
Great desk, now I want oneSarah Daughter is very happy with desk now I want one as a sewing machine desk. Was very easy to assemble. My husband and I assembled in about 3 hours maybe 4, the only issue that caused difficulty was attaching the top. Use a screw driver or something narrow to align the holes making sure it reaches the desk top holes. Maybe there is an easier way. We did our best to align top visually then used the screwdriver and other objects to insert to make sure all holes were aligned before securing. When attaching the drawers to the metal slides we quickly learned that screws will screw in from the inside. Real difficult to get out if you go other way and of course drawer won’t close. So those two issues took up the most time otherwise assembly went really well and without a hitch. We had no damaged pieces so I was happy about that. Also don’t put drawers in until you attach the top. Otherwise you will be unscrewing them. I’m weird I actually enjoy assembling furniture was fun!!
Best desk ever....LilaI've sat at a lot of desks, both at companies and at home and have never felt so comfortable at this one. It fits perfectly in my home and is the right size. There are five drawers on one side (you can install them either on the right or left) and the other side has a cabinet that can fit your printer paper, cartridges, or anything else. It is very well made and will last a lifetime. I absolutely vote a big YES on this one.

genuinely awful to buildMearai have been trying to build this for almost 2 weeks and this is the worst thing i have ever built. the directions make me want to scream. it wants you to put the feet on the top for the drawers, it shows random pictures asking you to undo the previous step just to redo it in the next step, it’s near impossible to attach to the tabletop. it is so infuriating i am considering returning at least part of it. if you do want to purchase it i would recommend lots of patience and/or having someone assemble it for you.

LAGKAPTEN / ALEX Review - 9/10LandonThe table looks amazing and simplistic! Building was quite easy, as well, and it was nice to be able to customize the building process if I so pleased to. Only issue I could find was was attaching the tabletop itself to the two ALEX drawers was a nightmare. Besides that, definitely recommend!
