Great shelf BUT...AnthonyFirst off let me say it is a great floating shelf for the price. It's cheaper than any other competitors out there. Ok, now that I got that out of the way, on to the substance of the review. The floating shelf bracket is not meant for US wall dimensions ( 16 on center ) . The bracket has multiple holes in it, maybe you'll hit 2 in that span but that's about it. Comes with no hardware only 2 screws to secure the shelf to the bracket. It may hold up to 20 pounds, why would you rely on wall anchors on especially this length of shelf. They are the number 1 reason why these shelves fail, don't just screw into drywall. What i did is mark out your stud locations on the bracket and drill new holes then install. Worth the extra step, trust me.

Like what? There's about a bazillion holes on the mount and the ends do line up on studs, but nothing in the middle does?

Nice but…LezlieThis shelf is exactly the look I wanted, but it needs more supports built into it. It looks great until ANY weight is added to it. I had to put small braces/L brackets underneath for extra support.
Inexpensive alternative to cabinet or towel rackDeannaThis is one of the best products that IKEA sells. I have a small place that lacks storage so I took down the towel rack in my bathroom and added 2 of these shelves. Problem solved. Also added some decorative items and a basket for wash clothes and TP.
Missing parts.KalaanThe item does not come with the screws or required parts to assemble the shelf. I found the link to order spare parts; and they’re SOLD OUT and have been for months now…. I can’t even put the item together. Waste of money.
assemblySeanBought 3 of these shelves and then found out that I have to drive down to the hardware store for additional screws because apparently they do not provide them.
Beautiful shelvesRebeccaI purchased 3 Lack shelves, and I love them. I'm a 56 y/o grandma, and I was able to install these 74" shelves by myself. Yes, it was a little difficult but worth the effort. I just wish IKEA would have included all of the hardware needed for the installation. They do not include the screws that are needed to connect the metal bracket to the wall. They only come with the 2 screws that secure the shelf to the metal bracket. I would have given a 5 star rating if I wouldn't have had to rummage through the garage for the appropriate screws.

Amazing 74" Lack Shelf!BarbaraI wanted a floating shelf above (as mantle) my tv area which already has Lack tv stand and needed wider 74" size. The price is amazing! The thickness of the shelf is fabulous!. On installation, just know that you will want to attach to at least two studs. Mounting bracket provides random but many holes and you may need to drill one set. I did. Super easy though, knowing exactly where you want to hang it dictates such. I attached mine to two studs and 8 mollies based on placement instructions and where I wanted to install it. Super stable. Thank you once again IKEA<3333

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
