Won't hit studsPatrickThis thing needs to be 2 inches longer. I took a quick look at the dimensions before heading to the store, thinking IKEA finally made something that will mount properly to the wall. Nope. 5 studs span 64 inches, yet they made it 63 inches. Also, the screw holes sit 5/8" from the end, so that takes off another 1-1/4". So you have a total span of 61-3/4" to try and hit studs on 64" centers. Come on IKEA, seriously? Why? I did give 2 stars because the shelf is indeed very nice, and you can make it work by centering the center and then sharply angling the outer bracket screws, but the sharply angled screws look pretty stupid on what is otherwise a very nice shelf. Please do better, IKEA, on making things that will actually hang on a wall properly.2

Good product but scam on the moneySharonI love the shelves they will put up perfectly but when I ordered them I also paid $37 extra to be put up and then when they came to my house I paid an extra 90 something dollars I thought I had already paid at least one portion of it 5

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
