It’s a benchRachaelIt’s a bench. Does what it needs to do. Was easy enough to put together and is holding up well under light use after two months. The reason for 4 stars is the price. There really is no reason it should be as expensive as it is.

Then, I realized I had been skipping instructions because I'm too smart to need instructions, and missed the part where they provide you with a cardboard tool to line up the bars.

Hemnes shoe rackB.Exactly what I needed for my garage. The bench part is great to be able to sit while slipping into shoes, and it’s quite sturdy. Now I need a second one for golf shoes!

lovely for a small entrancewayAliciaThis was a quick and easy build. The bench itself works great for our small apartment entry way. It gives enough space to sit to take shoes on and off and the storage racks are great for shoes and should have enough space for boots in the winter.
Perfect Gem!MimiLove this entryway bench and shoe rack combo. It’s sturdy enough to sit on to change footwear. The racks below are well spaced for storing wet, muddy & misc footwear. There is also room to put a plastic boot tray below the bottom rack to catch dirt & mud. It’s light enough to move with ease when I need to vacuum around it, as well as being a stylish welcome at my side door. All around gem of an Ikea product.
Fit and functionDianeFits perfectly, functions well. I suggest the mat/drip pan for underneath if shoes will have dirt or water.
Our area is now more organized and because there is a place for it, "stuff" doesn't end up everywhere.
Love ThisJulieI was pleasantly surprised to find out that this bench was made of real wood rather than the usual particle board. The quality was so much nicer than I expected for $80.
The assembly of the wooden pieces was a little bit frustrating by myself. It comes with a really helpful cardboard piece to use when assembling the poles. Make sure not to throw it out beforehand!
