Solid pine is a natural material that ages beautifully and acquires its own unique character over time.
The untreated wood is beautiful as it is, but can also be personalized with a coat or two of paint in your favorite color.
If you oil, wax, lacquer or stain the untreated solid wood surface it will be more durable and easy to care for.
For a softer seat or to add a personal touch to the room, complete with a chair pad in the style and color of your choice.

Great value but a bit smallMartinThis set is a great value. I wish the table was just a little bit bigger and sturdier but you get what you pay for. The chairs get the job done but I definitely feel a bit uncomfortable after sitting in them for an extended period of time. That said, the set looks great in my home.
Amazing buy!TatyanaComplete set in one box and for under $200! Easy assembly, very lightweight but sturdy. Just the right size for an apartment - doesn't take much space but the tabletop has plenty of room. It became our "go to" space - at the same time workstation for one plus dining area for two, or if guests come over it can easily sit 4 or even 6 (just add 2 seats). And it looks very beautiful in the room. Love it!

Beautiful setShereneI needed a new table and this one did not disappoint. The wood is beautiful and it only a little bit of a challenge to put together. I had a little bit of a struggle with a couple of the screws, as the pre done holes were not as deep as I’d have liked, but in the end, it turned out great.
Love it, so compact and lightweight! TerriI can pick up one the chairs with one of my girly fingers. This will make my hubby happy when it’s time to move. Love it! I also adore the color, it blends nicely with all the other wood and shades of brown in our place. I took some time to put together (so many little pieces) but since we only have to do it once, no complaints there either! Perfect for filling a small place and nice and solid when assembled.

Sturdy and cozy set!ChauIt fits perfectly in my smaller space and I really like the dark black wood (the other colors looked weird to me and didn't fit my decor). Once you put it together, it's very sturdy and I feel very comfortable using it daily. I wish IKEA let me post a photo -- it's very stylish!
Cons: you definitely need a power drill for this job. Otherwise it will take hours to put together. Also, some of the larger screws did not lie flush even when I used a power drill -- this may bother some people, others may not notice.
lovely once together!FerinPROS: great deal, good size, I like that it doesn’t look like dorm furniture and made my apartment feel cozier, warm but neutral wood tone that goes with a lot. I can see myself keeping the set for a long time.
CONS: there is a step with the chairs where you have to affix the seat to the base, and there are no pre-drilled holes. you will hand crank yourself to nowhere and make a weird pit, or likely split the wood if you use a drill. GET AN AWL (if you have a multi tool floating around it’s probably got one) AND MARK SOME LIL HOLES IN THERE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SCREW THOSE THINGS IN. the other con is that the finish seems to scratch easily, which happened during gentle assembly.
