UNABLE TO ASSEMBLEBrianDo not purchase under any circumstance! I had this couch delivered and the assembly was going fine until I needed to complete the frame by attaching two L-shaped metal brackets. The pre-drilled holes did not align at all with the hardware forcing you to either give up or drill all new holes. I didn't spend $800 to have a woodworking project and fix IKEA's poor quality.
Loved for over 5 yearsJenniferWe’ve had this couch as our main living room couch for many years and absolutely love it. It’s been through a move and now a baby and toddler in addition to the many people who have spent the night on it, and it’s held up great. We need a second couch now, so looking at buying another in another color and thought I’d leave a review!
My mom frequently sleeps on it when she stays over and she calls it her crib, that’s how much she loves it 😅 we have it in orange! Adds a great pop of color to our otherwise very neutral home.
Doesn’t LastLissaI purchased this sofa in blue just shy of five years ago. It gets some light daily use from an adult. These are the reasons I would never recommend this sofa:
1. The fabric pills terribly
2. The seat cushion started sagging after one year and the cover is not removable for washing.
3. The arms don’t stay in place and are getting wobbly.
4. The couch is really deep. Without extra pillows, it’s too deep for my legs and hard to get out of. See #5 for additional comfort issues.
5. A ridge has developed on the front edge of the sofa making it uncomfortable to get up. Feels like a metal bar.
6. The back cushions are becoming so soft or broken down I have to supplement with additional pillows.
I love the color and shape of the couch, but otherwise deeply regret the purchase.

Not the best, not the worst JessicaI have the black faux leather version. Looks sleek, & still looks good after 8 years & 4 dogs. It does start to separate in the middle when you use the bed, but a mattress topper helps. I also think it’s lame that replacement back cushions aren’t available.
Awful fabric wearRyanIKEA claims to be sustainable but the fabric (upgraded tan) has mostly worn out after 1.5 years; pilling and discoloring... It looks terrible through minimal use and they will not allow it to be returned/replaced. There is no way to clean the main large cushion either. Would not recommend this item.

great sofa for its priceNatalyaWe were looking for a sofa that would be comfortable for two adults to sleep on. This is exactly that. It folds out easily and has a drawer for storing bed linen. It is quite comfortable for two adults to sleep on it. My husband assembled it himself, it was not difficult. The quality is certainly not 5, the upholstery very quickly began to look not very good. But the quality matches its cost. Overall, we are happy.

It might not be the same as your average couch, but it’s comfy once you’re used to it!

Couch seats got VERY hard over timeShanishaIf you sit on my one or particular area of the couch for too long, it gets HARD. The pull out couch is nice for guests, but make sure you use an egg shell to support their sleeping comfort. Easy enough to assemble.
Hard to assemble due to mis alignment in pre-drilled holeSteveWhile assembling the couch, there was a misalignment in one of the holes in the front board that would have resulted in cross threading the bolt. I can see if this bolt was not properly tightened, it could lead to the board breaking as mentioned in other reviews. Luckily I did not force the bolt, and had the time, tools, and patience to enlarge the predrilled hole to allow me to properly tighten the bolt.
The couch is very easy to convert to a bed, and appears to be more comfortable than other sleeper couch options.
As a couch it needs some throw pillows to be comfortable for sitting, but my son prefers to lay on it.
If the pillows were slightly smaller, they could fit into a pillow case and double as pillows when using the couch as a bed.
I bought a queen mattress pad and it fits ok. One side (the back of couch) is difficult to fit fitted sheet under, but it will be ok for occasional use.
Storage under the seat is helpful.
Removable and washable covers would be awesome.
$700+ and I regret this purchaseAndreaI bought this couch on November 3, 2019, and it has been a disappointment from the start. For a piece of furniture that cost over $700, I expected much better quality and comfort. Instead, it’s been uncomfortable to sit on, and the build quality is terrible.
On top of that, the couch isn’t even that comfortable. The cushions feel stiff, and sitting on it for long periods isn’t enjoyable.
To make matters worse, trying to contact IKEA about returning the couch under warranty has been a nightmare. I’ve reached out multiple times, but I’ve found it nearly impossible to get a helpful response or resolution. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I hope leaving this review finally gets something to happen. I just want my money back.

Color started to fade off. I have lost trust in Ikea after this purchase and no longer recommend Ikea furniture to my friends. Cheaply made.
Fabric peeling apart. Anonymous reviewerWe bought this couch in late 2019 and I’ve liked it. Because of the pandemic it’s only been used as a sleeper a couple of times. But it’s been comfortable to sit and lay on. But the coating on the couch is peeling off, leaving little black plastic shreds everywhere. I wish I could continue to use it but it looks terrible now.

What I needed for the spare roomKathyThe couch is comfy enough without being too soft or too hard. It opens to a queen size bed. The mattress is firm, and a bit hard to sleep on for someone in their 60s. It’s very difficult, almost impossible, to get a fitted sheet on the mattress due to how it’s attached to the frame. I had the son in-law put it together and it was a bit complicated. It fit the purpose that we needed and are still satisfied.
