Perfect for the seasonHepiOk, I only used it last night in NYC with windows closed no a/c and it was a lot more comfortable than my extra warm LL Bean which is $600 for comparison. It's light and perfect for this season. I don't know how it will work in August but... MY ONLY complaint is it doesn't have corner loops (to tie to duvet cover) Sooo, I used a white shoe lace to make mine. 5
Terrible SmellKarinI bought this as a summer comforter but had to return it because of its awful smell. Even washing, drying, and airing it out in the sun didn't change the smell.
Upon returning it, I was told I could buy another one to see if that had a smell, too. No thanks. Four hours of driving in Los Angeles traffic didn't help to make this a pleasant experience :(1
Comforter LauraPurchased for my mom and sister and they love them 5
ComfortLindaVery nice comforter. I was making a cover for it with a flannel and regular flat sheets, and didn’t want to have too much warmth, so this weight is perfect. I have purchased IKEA feather/down comforters in the past, and they last FOREVER! I knew this would be a prize purchase. I’m loving it!5
Something for the summerAnonymous reviewerI live in a warm condo and I thought that a light warm duvet would be enough for all seasons. After a few nights, I bought the Strandmolke duvet, which is really warm and cozy. I kept Fjällbräcka for the summer.4
Cozy and lightCarolWarm, but still a little warm for me, perfect for husband. 5
lightweight down duvet fillerSharonThis is the perfect weight--light, but plenty warm. Bought a second one for the guest room!5
Lightweight, good for warmer monthsJohnGreat for warmer seasons. Crisp, cool and lightweight, yet warm enough. The crispiness and stiffness are FEATURES, people. The stiff 100% cambric cotton helps the duvet keep its shape and not bunch and twist. There was literally no odor to this. It's very similar to the Ikea Sotvedel "cool" rating I bought years ago.
I have a much more expensive down duvet which is very poofy and fluffy, and while that can be nice, it's also very heavy and can be too hot and needs to be fluffed every day. This ikea ones lays flat and I prefer that as a minimal sleeper who moves around a lot.
The only downside is the dimensions are a little awkward and non-standard, which makes it slightly small for my duvet cover (not from ikea). I also feel like it's slightly overpriced.5
Do not PurchaseKyleWe recently purchased two of these duvet inserts for guests. I read reviews on this site complaining of odors and the loud crinkling noises they can make and chalked these up to people being overly sensitive and demanding on what is not a luxury product after all. Both duvets had a "fowl" smell that was unbearable upon opening. We left them out overnight in our guest room with all windows open under a ceiling fan thinking the smell would improve, in the morning the entire room reeked. We then washed both duvets 3 times using a combination of detergent/Wash booster/ & dawn dish soap, and dried them for three cycles with dryer sheets and tennis balls on high, we then left them on an outdoor laundry line in the sun for 24 hours. There was a definite improvement in the odor however it was still quite noticeable and I did not feel comfortable giving these to guests. I ended up purchasing a much more expensive duvet from Macy's. Not worth even the modest price. 1
Soft and warm, but not too much.DavidePerfect combination between warmth and light weight. Best duvet for summer time. Fresh even in the warmer days, but warm enough on the coldest.
Very light for a great comfort.5
So disappointed with thisEveI ordered one of the more expensive duvets thinking it would be light and fluffy and it’s completely flat. Even after several days and a lot of shaking it’s still flat.1
Decent, not as good as prior versionsDanelleDecent summer weight, however the cotton material outside crinkles like paper, and the top-stitching is very basic. Prior versions had a better cotton outer fabric and better stitching design to keep the down in place.4
Terrible KimWe purchased this at the Columbus store. It was our very first IKEA purchase and after 6 mos of use I’m done. The fill moves to the edges of the comforter that hang on over the sides of the bed so all you have covering you is the fabric. No matter how much I’ve shaken it, flipped it, fluffed it or whatever I have mounds of fill in the boxes around the edge of the comforter. Worst $130 I’ve ever spent. 1
Down comforterCarrieMakes a crinkly noise every time you move 3
FJÄLLBRÄCKACarolaGreat blanket if you’re looking for something comfortable , fluffy but not too hot 5

Perfect will buy again. HaleyI have been searching for the perfect feather down comforter to replace the one I remember from my childhood and this one is great. It is cool and breathable but also warm, but not too warm just as advertised. Didn't work out with the ikea duvet cover I also bought for it but perfect on it's own. Has held up well in the wash unlike other feather comforters I have had that lose feathers. I love it so much and will happily buy another when needed. Definitely worth the cost and is great quality. 5
