Cabinet RobertIt was easier to assemble than I expected.
ZERO STARSJonathanThis is hands down the absolute worst IKEA purchase. I have put together so many IKEA products over the years and yea... its not easy. But if you do it right, the products are usually durable. These aren't even possible to put together. Absolute garbage. GARBAGE.
Great purchase!!!JasminExtremely versatile and very easy to install. Looks great wherever you want to put it, comes in a few colors and is fashionable.
Worst IKEA Product EverAnnalieseI’ve assembled a ton of IKEA furniture over the years, including a kitchen and large pax wardrobes by myself. I bought two of these cabinets and they are hands down the worst quality and hardest to assemble of any IKEA product I’ve encountered, ever. I wrestled with them all weekend and finally have a workable product after buying additional braces and hardware at Home Depot. If these weren’t the exact size cabinets I needed for my entryway, I would have returned them or possibly just tossed them in the dumpster. A friend of mine who worked at IKEA for years told me they used to have to scrap these cabinets all the time because of breakage. Beware.
if the dimensions wasn’t perfect for my needs i’d return and never purchase againRozenait is unfortunately an ok stand in item just until i find something else of this exact measurements that i like. otherwise it really is a bad product stay clear if imperfections drive you nuts. the doors are cut badly so they don’t sit flush and there are weird gaps. you will need a hammer to bang the corners together flush or your cabinet will wobble badly. i actually had to return and buy again bc the first time the back particle board ripped in half in transit it was so flimsy.
Good cabinetJenniferScored this item in the As-is section in great condition. Never thought about mounting it to the wall. Instead I have it next to my bookshelf on the floor with the printer on top and paper/office items inside. Given the weight of my office printer and poor quality of my apartments build, I would not mount it on the wall. Looks great as is for storing additional office items.
Worst product bought in Ikea so farPollyneI bought some furniture from Ikea and usually find assembling it easy, but this one was the worst experience yet. I wanted a small cabinet for my laundry room, thinking it would be a good fit. However, when I opened the box, I realized there were no screws included. The sides were meant to fit together, but it was impossible to assemble them into a square. In the end, I ended up with an uneven cabinet, and the doors didn't align properly. Unlike other cabinets, this one didn't come with hinges; instead, there was a cheap piece of plastic where the door was supposed to fit. As a result, one door won't stay closed, and the other is difficult to close. It's really frustrating. I'd return it, but I'm not sure if they accept returns unless the product is in its original packaging.
It’s okayKaylaProduct was difficult to put together of course the instructions is strictly pictures so I had to YouTube had to assemble the rails to hang on the wall did not come with screws so the screws I did buy didn’t hold up
Perfect size and good mix with Besta, Billy, KallaxDeniseVariety is the spice of life. And also to a room layout.
A mix-up of Eket and Besta, using those series small- and medium-sized cabinets, has given life and spark to what would otherwise be a long, narrow, windowless, low (aka dark and boring) wall in our lounge/family/media room.
The scale of the two series is a perfect complement to the room’s dimensions. And building a rhythm of cabinet heights, all in a line, looks artful, but is still easily aligned to carrying our large flat screen.
Having Eket available for the room’s furnishing definitely makes the room pop.
In another room, a small office/projects room, five Eket, single- and double- doored cabinets, line the walls across from a low run of Kallax units. A short, narrow Billy, is popped in among the Ekets.
Three shallow, single-door Ekets have been stacked up (easy and safe to do with the Eket wall brackets. TY, Ikea!), in a corner just behind the room’s door. The stack works like a tall utility cabinet, without the tall utility cabinet aesthetic (love it).
Otherwise, on other wall two two-door Ekets do storage and display duty , one under a loved painting, the other under a window.
TY, IKEA, for adding the EKET series to your cabinets. Their scale and variety is a game changer.
Hinges problemAmericaOne of the open/close hinges does not work.
