A durable dining table that makes it easy to have big dinners. A single person can extend the table and there’s plenty of room for chairs since the legs are always located at the corners of the table.

Product details

The self-storing leaf is easy to insert to extend the table from 4 to 6 and just as easy to remove and tuck away under the table top when your guests have gone home.

The table top has a hardwood veneer top layer that is both stained and lacquered for durability and to allow the natural wooden texture to shine through.

The smart design means that the table top has no seams when you use the table without extending it.

Designed for a perfect match with EKEDALEN chairs. ÄLVSTA, LIDÅS, KRYLBO and KARLPETTER chairs are also good matches with different style expressions.

Solid wood underframe makes the construction very sturdy.

This table has been tested against our strictest standards for stability, durability and safety to withstand everyday use in your home for years.

Extremely pleased! CareyWe love the basic size and how it can expand easily. We have used the leaf section to assemble a puzzle and if we are not finished, we have tucked it away, in the holding area under the table, to finish later in it's holding area. Kids have gotten paint and other crafting materials dried on the table, but it easy to clean off. It has been put through its paces by my kids and still looks great. Would definitely recommend. It is also a great price and was simple to assemble.5

Happy and fit my needs 100%RoxaneBought a small beach condo. This was one of 4 pieces of furniture I purchased from Ikea. I didn't want to give up floor space on a large fixed size table, so I got this extendable table. It is perfect for my needs. Its approx. 4 ft long retracted and approx. 71" long extended. It's modern, and a true bright white finish with a faint wood grain showing under the paint. I use place mats, but the top seems durable. I am very satisfied with this table's appearance and function. 5

Assembling the Ekedalen table went pretty well.LauraOverall, it went pretty well. I have only assembled simple items - this was more complicated than anything I'd attempted before. It's much easier with 2 people. I don't know if I could have done it by myself. I had to make a couple of tweaks. One tweak included having to move the interior rail which is used to pull the table apart for the extension. Screws were to go in pre-drilled holes, and the screws weren't able to go in on one side. This piece was blocking the holes. Fortunately, the piece could be pried and it popped off to move further down it's track. Also, it wasn't entirely clear about the direction of the latch and I had to reposition that, as well. The table legs aren't entirely flush with the rest of the table - by a smidge. It's probably something only I will notice. It is certainly a solid table and looks great. The latch works properly and it slides well for the extension. I can do this myself, which I wanted! Now, we will see how it lasts over time.4

This is a very nice, solid table especially for the price. The only reason it's not 5 stars is you have to pick up one end and pull it to extend it. Looks great in our home placed at the end of the kitchen island.
