Bad design SydneyPaper covering was already peeling off in the same spot of all bookcases when taken out of the box. Paper seem is right where books slide out so will no doubt get worse quickly. Horrible change to the Billy bookcases. 2

Shelves of particle board?ArielNot only so but it feels like the boards are getting more brittle and the board is not as dense as before, not to mention the backing board folded in 3 is not very appealing. Make it also bad in fit and finish. I am a proud Ikea pro with 40 years in Ikeaness. Keep making great products with quality and dependability.3

I don't understand why it has this name. Perhaps: Complete Bookcase; Essential Bookcase; All You Need Bookcase; or Wally! JennieI used the top two pieces as a shorter bookcase to the side. If it was placed on the top as it should, the height would be too far up the wall. It serves as a perfect shrine to the greatest musician ever: John Lennon. 5

Looks so great in my space!JessicaThree skinny Billy’s and the extender boxes make for a great “nearly built-in” look for our bookshelves. We have 8’ ceilings, and these come out to about 93”, so they nearly reach the ceiling. Being able to customize the size of each shelf is a game changer. I wallpapered the backs during assembly to elevate them a bit and it worked like a charm. They were easy enough to put together solo too. I did have to screw them to each other to make sure they had no gaps in between, but since I always plan on using them to look like one “unit” I was okay with this. Definitely recommend them. 4

The design is thoughtful & installation was simple & straightforward! I built 6 of these guys & only one piece broke (a lock nut thing) which ikea promptly replaced with no hassle or inconvenience to myself. For free, no less! Way to go, ikea! I will definitely be back!5
