This cover is made from Knisa fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material which has a soft feel.
The design is versatile and fits in many different environments. The clean-lined look makes it easy to add a personal touch with cushions and throws.
The seat is made with foam and zigzag springs that provide firm and supportive comfort – both when you sit and lie down.

Love this sofa bed!KatherineThis sofa bed has been great. Super easy to assemble. When its pulled out I bought a full sized topper to go over th crack and all of my guests have been happy with it. The only negative is that tall people will have their feet hang off as its a true "full" sized bed when pulled out not a queen.

Flaw in AlvdalenThomasI bought an Alvdalen. The back is supposed to bolt to two hinges on the base. The distance between the hinges was different than the distance between the bolt holes on the back, making assembly impossible as delivered. I had to go to the hardware store and buy 1/4" lag screws to assemble the furniture. IKEA failed in its QA and QC on this product. IKEA needs to check the manufacturing and potentially recall all flawed Alvdalens.

Great futon at a great priceClaudiaThis futon-type sofa is perfect for an occasional bed. It is a comfortable sofa and easily unfolds into a bed. Will probably get a mattress topper for the bed as it is quite firm.
nice but hinges don't alignJessicabought it today. went together in no time except the hinges bolt holes do not align. had to take one bolt out of the bottom half of the hinges to make the two on the back line up. I don't want to load it back in my car and go back so super disappointed on the quality control but will probably just hope it holds up with one bolt instead of two.

Perfect small sleeper sofaKatherineI needed a small sleeper sofa for my office for when family comes to visit and this is perfect. I bought a full-sized foam topper for it for when older guests come to stay and overall the reviews from my guests are its super comfy.
Does its job and does it wellFoxVery comfortable and big enough for two. However, the seat cover can’t be removed to be washed and it stains quite easily. It folds out into a bed that’s comfortable enough to sleep on for a night, but I’ve only had to do that once so far and hopefully it won’t happen again. The fact that it has no armrests is unfortunate because they can be useful for leverage, but we knew that before we bought it. It’s sturdy, even though the backrest wobbles a bit when pushed or grabbed too hard, but it hasn’t broken off yet. Overall satisfactory, but due to the lack of armrests, I’ll have to give it four stars.
Decent College Apartment CouchJustinWe needed to get a couch for my daughter’s NYC apartment. This was relatively easy to move in (comes in one box) and can be set up in five minutes (does require two people). Have only had it for a week, it is not a super soft squishy comfy couch, but it is the right size and price (was 15% off for sleeper event and another 15% off for college student). Having a few low ottoman/poofs helps to extend seating area/comfort. Also a mattress topper when sleeping on it. Best new couch we could find for under $350 and it looks great in the space.

LOVE THIS PIECETeenaI have been searching for so long for the right futon for my office also used as a spare guess room. I had a few options saved in my basket from other vendors but thought let me go to IKEA and look. Found this one and was so lucky they had this in stock. It's a bit firm but love that this has storage underneath for my blankets or the twin topper. fits perfect in the office with dual use.
