Perfect for people who are sensitive to light during sleep, anytime of the day.

Curtains reduce heat from the sun as well as heat loss from draughty windows. For best effect, mount from ceiling to floor with the curtains overlapping the window, as close as possible, to prevent gaps.

The 98 in length is ideal if you want to hang the curtain above the window for a casual look.

Effective at keeping out both drafts in the winter and heat in the summer.

Curtains with heading tape allow you to hang the curtain directly on the curtain rod using the rod pocket or tabs. You can also hinge the curtain onto a track rail using gliders and hooks.

Using gliders and hooks usually creates a more formal and dressed-up feel, where hardware is not visible.

The heading tape makes it easy for you to create pleats using RIKTIG curtain hooks.

The fabric blocks out all light and glare on TV/screens. It gives complete privacy as shapes or light cannot be perceived from outside and the transition between day/night cannot be distinguished

The curtains are sold in pairs. The sizes stated refer to each single curtain. For the total width, double the width of a single curtain.

Since the fabric will shrink when washing it is a good idea to wash the curtains prior to cutting/hemming.

Use SY iron-on hemming strip to shorten the curtains without sewing.

16 gliders and hooks are usually recommended for each curtain with a width of 57⅛". You can increase or decrease the number depending on whether you want narrower or fuller folds in the pleats.

Black out drapesDeeI purchased the dark green drapes and they are absolutely beautiful. They look like velvet and they are truly blackout. My room is nice and dark and great for sleeping. They do require ironing as they are very wrinkled. I had 4 panels and it only took about 30 minutes on low steam. Completely darkMarinaNeeded the bedroom to be in complete darkness. I didn’t think curtains that didn’t weigh a ton could completely darken a room. When the sun is up, no clue what time it is cause no light is coming into the room from the windows. It’s like every room can be as dark as a movie theater. Ok, enough about the blackout part of the curtains. The curtains can be mounted in several different methods, by the loops on the curtain, slid onto a curtain rod or by using hooks (not supplied). All options would look great; just need to pick your decor style. One thing to be aware that not all Majgull curtains are blackout curtains so if you’re specifically looking for blackout curtains make sure to select only the ones that are specifically identified as blackout. Also the quality of the curtains are very good. The fabric is smooth and doesn’t snag; should last for years and years. 5

Fav black-out curtainsAnnieI was worried after reading some reviews that you can see from the outside but for my purchase, so far you can't see from the outside so I'm happy with that. These are really good black-out curtains compared to Home Depot. The material is sturdy and heavy. I like the texture of it being a bit more silky. The Grey is darker than the picture. When I was steaming my curtains, I couldn't see well because it was so dark lol. These curtains are worth it even though I thought they are more expensive than other black-out curtains on the market.5

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
