How does the doorstep delivery service work?

To use this service, add the desired items to your basket and, at checkout, select the "Delivery to your door" option. Provide the correct delivery details and confirm your order. After confirmation, you will receive an email and an SMS with all the delivery details. On the day of delivery, it is essential to ensure free access to the location and that someone over 18 years old is present to receive the order. If you detect any damage or missing items, contact IKEA Customer Support within 48 hours of receiving your order.

Place your order

a. Add the desired items to your cart and choose the “Door delivery” option at checkout. If the option is not available, it may be because the zip code of the delivery address is not eligible for this type of delivery.
b. At checkout, provide accurate and complete delivery details. Enter your address, confirm the delivery instructions (including any parking or access restrictions), and select the delivery date.
c. At checkout, the calculated price will be displayed (based on the order value, location, and type of delivery selected), along with a 4‑hour delivery window. After selecting the delivery service, the displayed date and time are final.
d. You can make changes or cancel your order through the Manage order tool until it reaches the status "To be delivered to carrier". After this point, please contact IKEA customer support for help.
e. Use the Track and Manage Order to monitor the progress of the delivery.

Order processing and confirmation

a. Once the order is processed, you will receive an order confirmation by email or SMS with the delivery details.
b. Make sure your contact information is correct so that the driver can reach you by phone upon arrival.

Delivery Day

a. Ensure there is clear, unobstructed access for the delivery vehicle.
b. Make sure someone over the age of 18 is available at the address during the delivery window.
c. Your items will be delivered to your door. Note that if you have items at home that you also wish to return, they cannot be handed to the driver delivering the new items.
d. Upon arrival, compare the delivered packages with your invoice and check for any damage. Report any packaging or product damage directly to IKEA within 48 hours after delivery.
