What is IKEA Buyback & Resell service?
When you're ready to let someone enjoy your IKEA products, bring them back to an IKEA store, any time of the year. In return, you get an IKEA cashback card (store credit) to make your next purchase more affordable, while your used items find a new home.
With the Buyback & Resell service, you can prolong the life of your IKEA furniture and give it a new chance. We buy back your used furniture in exchange for an IKEA refund card. Then your products go to our Circular Area in the store, the area where we sell second-hand IKEA items. These can be booked online and purchased by others at a more affordable price. In this way, it saves resources, supports a more sustainable way of consuming and helps IKEA become an increasingly circular company, more positive for people and the planet.
To participate, follow the step-by-step process:
- Fill in the Buyback estimator tool online.
- Get an estimate of the buy-back value of your IKEA furniture.
- Take your assembled furniture to your nearest IKEA store within 30 days of the date you received the estimate.
If we are unable to sell your second-hand IKEA products, we will dispose of them responsibly and recycle them where possible. Learn more about sustainability at IKEA.
