How does Delivery via Transporter work?

To use this service, add the desired items to the cart, choose the option "Delivery via transport" in the checkout process. Provide detailed delivery instructions, select the desired delivery day and confirm your order. You will receive an email and an SMS with the delivery details. On the day of delivery, ensure that access is unimpeded and that someone over the age of 18 is present. The driver will place the items in the room he indicates. If you notice any problems (such as missing or damaged items), please inform the driver immediately and contact IKEA customer service.

Placing the order
a. Add the desired items to the cart and select the option "Delivery via transport" at checkout. If you don't see this option for your address, it's likely that the store serving your area doesn't have one or more items in stock from your order and therefore delivery isn't possible.
b. Enter your full address and detailed delivery instructions and choose the desired delivery day. Include all relevant details, such as the room in the house where you want the items to be placed.
c. During checkout, two delivery windows of 4 hours each will be displayed.
d. Before finalizing, confirm the order and verify that the payment details and delivery options are correct. Make sure that the size of the packages is compatible with the accesses to the site.
and. Any changes to your order should be requested as early as possible to avoid additional charges. Changes to items must be made before the order is in the "Preparing your order" status. Changes to date, time or location must be made before the order is in the status "Transferring to the carrier".
To check the status of your order and track updates, use the Track and manage your order.
f. You can make changes or cancel your order through the Manage order tool until it reaches the status "To be delivered to carrier". After this point, please contact IKEA customer support for help.
Processing and confirmation
a. You will receive a confirmation by email and/or SMS with the chosen delivery time window and contact instructions.
b. Prepare by ensuring you are present on-site during your selected delivery period.

Delivery day
a. A contact will be made when the delivery team arrives at the address. The team will wait 15 minutes on site.
b. Ensure a safe and unimpeded path to the delivery vehicle and confirm access to your home, including stairs or elevator.
c. Please ensure that a person over the age of 18 is available during the delivery period, to supervise, receive and inspect the parcel. If no one is at the address and it is not possible to contact, the delivery will be considered failed. In that case, you must contact IKEA Customer Service.
d. Have the order confirmation and your details with you.
e. The driver will take the items inside your home, placing them in the room of your choice.
f. Upon arrival, compare the delivered items with the delivery invoice and check if there is any damaged packaging or item. If you detect any problems, please let us know within 48 hours or initiate a complaint request through your IKEA Family account, under "Purchase history".
