What are the general delivery restrictions and conditions?

To ensure that your delivery is carried out successfully, you must ensure a safe, unobstructed and adequate space for the products to be delivered by the carrier. If the delivery is to a floor higher than the ground floor (e.g. an apartment), there must be sufficient access via stairs or lift. While most IKEA products can be delivered, some fragile, oversized or seasonal items may have restrictions.

Delivery Restrictions: Before delivery, please ensure that there is sufficient space and access and that the stairs and lifts that give access to the site are suitable for delivery. You should remove fragile objects that may be damaged during delivery, including lamps, vases and paintings.
We will do our best to deliver the products to the room(s) of your choice, provided it is safe and feasible to do so. However, if the delivery team considers that it is not safe to deliver the products to the chosen room(s), an alternative room will be agreed with you where possible.
If the delivery team considers that delivering the products to a chosen room may cause damage to the products or property, they will inform you and record the concern on the delivery document. You can still accept delivery, but we are not responsible for any damage caused to the products or property. However, the team will make every effort to handle the products with care.
The delivery team is not allowed to remove doors, windows, jambs, etc., to complete the delivery. You must ensure these preparations before the delivery date. The delivery team does not have specialized lifting equipment, will not unpack or assemble delivered products or remove packages. The team will also not remove the shoes during delivery. If you are concerned about possible damage to the floor, protect the floor with appropriate coverings.
Deliveries cannot be made to mailboxes and PO boxes.
Delivery Accessibility: All delivery methods require that there is an adequate, safe and unimpeded space. All details relevant to delivery must be provided at the time of booking or prior to delivery.
Eligible items: Most IKEA products are available for delivery, but some items can only be purchased in an IKEA store. These ineligible items include, for example, fragile products such as glass and mirrors, live plants and products sold on the Swedish market. To check if an item is available for delivery, search for it on the IKEA website and check the "How to get" tab on the product page.
Delivery locations: IKEA delivers purchases made in Portugal only to addresses within the national territory. At this time, we do not make international deliveries.
To see the delivery options available to you, please visit the product page at IKEA.pt and enter the postcode of the delivery address under "Use your location" in the bar at the top of the website. If you are ordering several items, you can check the available delivery methods at checkout.
IKEA products cannot be transferred from one IKEA store to another.
Order value: There is a minimum value of €15 for deliveries by order and for home deliveries. Some products also require a minimum number of units to be delivered. The delivery options available to you will automatically be displayed at checkout, depending on the value, size and quantity of items.
Correct information: When scheduling your delivery, you will be asked to provide certain information. These will be recorded on the delivery document, and the delivery will be made to the address you indicate.
