5-Ingredient Chocolate Cake by Dr. Ezani

Ingredients
- 100 grams salted butter
- 140 grams IKEA dark chocolate - chopped
- 6 eggs (white and yolk separated)
- 140 grams IKEA biscuits with almonds - crushed to powder
- 85 grams castor sugar
Ingredients For Chocolate Sauce
- 150 grams of IKEA milk chocolate – finely chopped
- 50g Oatly
Ingredients For Plating
- IKEA coconut gelato
- IKEA oat biscuit
- IKEA ginger thins
- Edible flowers
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 170°C.
- Prepare a 9-inch springform cake pan. Line with parchment paper and butter the bottom and sides.
- Place dark chocolate and butter into a heatproof bowl placed over a pot of simmering water (double boiler), stir until the chocolate melts. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
- Add the egg yolks and IKEA biscuit crumbs to the chocolate mixture and stir until well combined.
- In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Add castor sugar and beat until stiff peak.
- Add one-third of the beaten egg whites to the chocolate and almond mixture, and stir to loosen the mixture slightly. Gently fold the remaining egg whites into the mixture. Do not overmix.
- Pour the cake mixture into the pan and bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes until the cake rises and the surface is dry and middle of the cake is set when the pan is shaken.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let cool.
- Remove the cake from the pan and remove the baking paper. Place the cake on a serving plate.
- For the chocolate sauce, add the Ikea milk chocolate and oatly milk into a pot. Heat slowly until the chocolate melts and stir until combined.
- Serve the cake with IKEA gelato, chocolate sauce, IKEA oatmeal and ginger cookie crumbs.

- 6 small red onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 inch turmeric
- 1 inch galangal
- 1 lemongrass
- 8 dried chillies
- 2 tbsp IKEA Chilli Sauce
- Water
Ingredients B
- 1/2 tbsp coriander seeds
- 1/2 tbsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
Other Ingredients
- ¾ cups cooking oil
- 500g IKEA Meatballs
- 2 cups thick coconut milk
- ½ dried tamarind slice
- 1 tbsp roasted coconut paste
- 1 turmeric leave
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- Gula melaka and IKEA Sea Salt Flakes to taste
- IKEA ROSTAD LOK Fried onion, turmeric leaves julienned and sliced red chillies, for garnishing
Steps
- Crush the combination of dried ingredients B using a pestle & mortar or food processor.
- Blitz all ingredients A using a blender and add water until it forms a smooth paste.
- Pour the paste into a heat-proof bowl and microwave it for 5 minutes until the chilli oil separates.
- Add in the blended ingredients B and all other ingredients and microwave it for another 10 minutes.
- Fold in frozen IKEA Meatballs and microwave for 10 more minutes.
- Top with a generous amount of IKEA fried onions.
- Garnish with turmeric leaves and red chillies.
