‘IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho’, IKEA’s first city touchpoint in Korea, is now open

[Seoul – April 29, 2020] Home furnishing retailer IKEA Korea announced on April 30 the official opening of its first city touchpoint ‘IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho’ at the Hyundai Department Store Cheonho in Seoul, where customers will be able to experience professional planning services from IKEA’s home furnishing consultants.

 

IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho is 506㎡ in size, located on the 9th floor of Hyundai Department Store Cheonho. Introducing a new, easy and convenient way for more of the many people in urban areas to experience IKEA and home furnishing, this new format offers personalised planning and ordering services for a wide range of spaces like bedrooms and children’s rooms from IKEA’s home furnishing consultants with expert knowledge in life at home and living trends.

 

Offering total home furnishing solutions filled with inspirations and ideas, IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho includes a shop window, 5 room sets, and a planning zone for one-on-one consulting services. The shop window is the first welcoming area at IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho, where visitors can get their first-hand experience of IKEA's unique design concept. The room sets showcase a wide range of inspiring bedroom solutions for better sleep based on 5 elements of light, temperature, sound, comfort and air. In the mattress and wardrobe studios, visitors can try out different products according to their sleep patterns and storage needs, building their own personalised bedrooms.

 

IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho showcases about 500 products on display, ranging from home furnishing accessories to furniture such as beds, wardrobes and drawers. These products include HÖVÅG pocket sprung mattress, one of IKEA’s most popular mattress products in Korea, with pocket springs that move independently along the body to provide comfortable support for the entire body to aid better sleep, as well as PAX and PLATSA wardrobes which can be completed with a customised storage solution for different living situations. STUVA wardrobe offers a variety of customised combinations to accommodate varying stages of children's growth, featuring wheels and handle for easy storage of children’s items like toys.

 

Customers can receive professional planning services at IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho by making an appointment through the Planning Studio Consultation Appointment Page on the IKEA Korea website.  The bedroom room sets, children’s section and self-planning zone are open to all, no prior appointments needed.

To celebrate the opening of IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho, IKEA Korea is holding a special promotion from April 30 to May 21. Customers making a purchase of KRW 600,000 or more at IKEA Planning Studio Cheonho will receive JORDROK pillow with duck down and feather fillings. Customers with a purchase of KRW 1,200,000 or more will receive JORDROK pillow and RODTOPPA quilt that breathes and absorbs moisture.
