When stainless steel is new, it is natural that the first scratches are visible. They become less visible over time as the material is used and gets a more matte tone.
Even though stainless steel is a durable material you should never place hot pots or pans directly on the worktop without a trivet or pot stand.

Care
Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild non-abrasive washing-up detergent or soap, if necessary.
Do not use scouring-powder, steel wool, hard or sharp tools which can scratch the stainless steel surface.
Always wipe surfaces of stainless steel lengthwise for an even, shiny finish.
