The daybed must be combined with two mattresses, 80x200. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.
The day-bed is not to be used as two single beds, it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

We bought this for our guest bedroom/playroom and it has not disappointed. Perfect for using as a daybed to watch TV and then to pull out to a king for guests to stay on. Easy for even one person to assemble.
