[Seoul – August 1] Home furnishing retailer IKEA Korea announced the launch of the IKEA Catalogue 2020 – “The Great Wake-up!” – on August 1. The new catalogue will be available in print and digital versions, presenting the importance and joy of getting a great night’s sleep and some of the easy ways for the many people to make it happen in their own homes.

First issued in 1951, the IKEA catalogue is published every year as one of IKEA’s main marketing tools. This year’s catalogue reflects people’s universal, core emotional needs identified through in-depth interviews and home visits conducted in various markets across the world, and features six unique stories of different homes to show and inspire various home furnishing ideas that can enable the many people to recharge through a good night’s sleep and get ready for a great wake-up.

Every year with the release of a new catalogue, IKEA also introduces many products at a “New Lower Price” with aims to reach the many more people with lower prices without having to compromise on quality. This year, a total of 129 IKEA products will be introduced at a “New Lower Price,” including a number of popular items such as LERSTA floor lamp (KRW 14,900), MARJUN blackout curtains, 1 pair (KRW 69,900), MOSHULT foam mattress 90x200cm (KRW 89,900). Nearly 2,500 new products are introduced each year to the complete IKEA range of approximately 9,500 products, and IKEA Catalogue 2020 will also feature some of these new products including KLUBBSPORRE ergonomic pillow (KRW 49,900) and SPISIG play kitchen with curtains (KRW 69,900).

For improved convenience, QR codes are featured throughout the new catalogue for readers to readily access information on different services offered at IKEA. The catalogue also includes Information on limited-time offers for IKEA Family members in the coming year.

A total of 124 million copies of IKEA Catalogue 2020 will be printed with FSC™-certified paper for world-wide circulation. The catalogue will be issued in 38 different languages in 54 countries, including Korea. The Korean version of the catalogue will feature a special cover designed for the Asian markets. The catalogue is available from August 1 in IKEA Gwangmyeong and Goyang stores.
