[Seoul – September 8] Home furnishing retailer IKEA introduces the first ever virtual ‘IKEA Festival’, a home tour of the world celebrating the power of opening doors to new experiences and creating a better life at home. For 24 hours in the live stream starting on September 16 at 3pm, this new kind of festival will set in everyday homes, studios, and neighborhoods worldwide, turning living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and backyards into virtual stages for performances and experiences.

In a time when life at home has never been so important, ‘IKEA Festival’ was developed to offer a lot of opportunities for inspiration around life at home from across the world. Under the IKEA vision to create a better everyday life for the many people, the festival will take place in over 100 homes in more than 50 markets around the world.

This virtual event is for free, open to everyone who wants to open the door to new experiences and a better life at home. Artists, designers, DJ’s, chefs, and many other talents will turn their homes into virtual stages and 24 episodes will be broadcasted at a given time, one per hour. Home Visits with IKEA collaborators like Ilse Crawford and Virgil Abloh, Home Concerts with artists such as MØ and Niki, and Home Cooking with Paul Svensson are included.
