Stay on top of leftovers

You order takeout often because you don't want to cook. If you always end up with leftovers because the portions are too big for one person, organize them in airtight containers. You'll reduce food waste and save a week's worth of food costs.

Organize your leftovers in see-through food containers so you can see what's left at a glance, reducing waste and turning today's leftovers into tomorrow's dinner. Store in microwave-safe containers so you can just pull them out and heat them up when you're hungry, with no prep time required. Keep track of not only your leftovers, but what you've bought, so you don't make the mistake of buying more of what you already have.

After that, it's all about the purpose: whether you're using it as a lunchbox for tomorrow, for the freezer, or for oven cooking. Choose a material that won't bleed color, is heat resistant, or is microwave safe.

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
