How the service works

1. Booking and survey

If you book the service, we will send you a link for the pre-survey. Please fill out the requests and space-related information.

2. Consultation

Based on the survey answers, free consultation with IKEA interior designers will be held. If you liked the first consultation and tip, pay for it and get a more detailed consultation.

3. 1st meeting

The first meeting will be held with the concept mood board prepared by the IKEA interior designer. Feel free to stretch your imagination about the space you want.

4. 2nd meeting

The interior designer will explain the idea and background and discuss with the service applicant where modifications need to be made.

5. Site visit (Plus only)

A collage of grouped, small images of pink-and-white interiors, pieces of furniture, and colour samples.

The interior designer visits the site to explore the details. (Plus only)

6. Interim inspection meeting (Plus only)

A schematic, black-and-white 3D sketch of a large room furnished as an open-floor plan, airy workplace.

Conduct an interim meeting of 60 minutes. (Plus only) Review the quote and determine the product.

7. Final meeting

The interior designer provides a final drawing package that includes a layout plan, 3D drawing, and a list of wall and floor finishes.

8. Purchase products and services

We proceed with the payment of furniture, delivery, and assembly costs.

9. Delivery and assembly

IKEA partners will deliver and assemble furniture according to the construction schedule.

Terms and conditions

Thank you for utilizing our ID service. Please carefully read to understand our services terms and conditions.

When you purchase IKEA Interior Design Service, general customer will get 20% of service fee and business customer will get 50% of service fee with IKEA TACK card on a same day of purchase until 31 July 2022. This offer is subject to once a day. Indicated conditions (including specified product, discount rate and period etc.) may be subjected to change or withdrawn without any notice from IKEA due to internal policies and circumstances.

Planned IKEA product’ price is based on the price at the time of consultation and the price may change due to internal promotion or price adjustment.

Furniture and Accessories used for interior design planning is limited to IKEA products.

For interior design planning, detailed drawings for interior construction purposes (ceiling construction, windows, doors, window frames, lighting, and electrical construction that are not IKEA products, etc.) and actual measurement services are not provided.

IKEA does not provide completed design files to construction company. Please contact the company directly.

When proposing interior finishing materials (finishing materials such as paint, floor, tile, wallpaper, etc.), we provide material and color guides, but do not guide specific brands of products.

Drawings that have been finalized for interior design planning cannot be modified. Drawings 3 months after completion are not valid and you must apply for planning again. (Additional service fee is 50,000 KRW per one time)

The product list is subject to change depending on IKEA product stock availability but design and drawings cannot be changed accordingly.

If the kitchen and living room are not separated, the kitchen design service fee is set separately.

When installing kitchen furniture, follow the terms and conditions of IKEA Kitchen planning service.

Due to the nature of this service where custom design work is performed, if you cancel after payment of the service fee, the refund amount will vary depending on the time of request. The original service order receipt is required when refunding the service fee. The refund completion depends on the refund policy of the customer's bank or credit card. For service cancellation, please contact Customer Service Center at 1670-4532.

Within 1 business day after payment: 100% refund of service fee

Within 3 business days after payment: 50% refund of service fee

3 business days after payment: No refund of service fee

Due to the noise generated by the installation scale and product, installation and delivery may not be possible on weekend, and the consent of neighbors may be required for each space.

The customer’s consultation process can be used for IKEA's internal training and publicity purposes.- As the service is limited to interior design planning and product proposals, IKEA is not responsible for any problems that occur outside of the service.

IKEA and the service provider will not compensate for any damages if the service is delayed due to natural disasters or other unavoidable reasons.
