Buy Duvets Online in India

Duvets have become an increasingly popular choice for bedding in India, offering both comfort and style. Essentially, a duvet is a soft, quilted blanket filled with down, feathers, wool, or synthetic fibres. Unlike traditional blankets, duvets are designed to be inserted into a removable cover, providing an added layer of protection and style to your bed.

One of the key advantages of duvets is their versatility. They offer warmth and insulation during colder months, yet can be easily replaced with lighter inserts for a cooler sleep experience in warmer weather. Additionally, duvet covers come in a variety of designs, colours, and materials, allowing you to effortlessly switch up the look of your bedroom decor. Whether you're seeking luxurious comfort or practical functionality, duvets offer a cosy solution for enhancing your sleep environment.

Things to consider before buying a duvet

When shopping for duvet online in India, consider the following factors:

Material

Material is a significant consideration. Duvets can be filled with lyocell, wool, or synthetic fibres. Down offers lightweight warmth and excellent insulation, while wool provides natural temperature regulation and moisture-wicking properties. Synthetic fibres are often hypoallergenic and more affordable.

Fill Type

Fill types determine the duvet's comfort and warmth. Higher fill power down results in fluffier and warmer duvets, while feathers offer a more affordable option with slightly less loft. Synthetic fills can mimic the properties of natural materials but may vary in quality.

Warmth Rating

Warmth ratings help you choose the appropriate duvet for your climate and personal preference. Options range from lightweight duvets suitable for warmer seasons to heavier, more insulating choices for colder weather.

Size

Size is crucial for proper coverage and fit on your bed. Consider the dimensions of your mattress and whether you prefer a snug or overhanging look.

Care and maintenance tips for your duvet

Want to keep enjoying the comfort of your duvet for a long time? Just follow these tips and tricks.

  • Fluff and Air Out Regularly:

Regularly fluffing and airing out your duvet helps maintain its loft and freshness. After making your bed each morning, give your duvet sets a gentle shake to redistribute the filling and prevent clumping. Hang it outside in the fresh air on a sunny day to allow it to breathe and remove any moisture or odors accumulated during use.

  • Follow Care Instructions:

Always follow the care instructions provided for washing and drying your duvet. Typically IKEA, bed duvets can be machine-washed on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Use a large-capacity washer to ensure even distribution of the filling and prevent damage to the fabric. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach, as these can damage the fibres and affect the duvet's performance.

  • Use Proper Drying Techniques:

When drying your duvet, use a low-heat setting and add clean tennis balls or dryer balls to help fluff up the filling and prevent clumping. Ensure that the duvet is completely dry before storing it away to prevent mould and mildew growth. Avoid hanging it in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause fading and damage to the fabric.

  • Consider a Duvet Cover:

Investing in a duvet cover sets is an excellent way to protect your duvet from spills, stains, and general wear and tear. Duvet covers are easy to remove and wash, making them a practical and convenient option for maintaining the cleanliness and longevity of your duvet.
