The #WonderfulEveryday Tour Competition Terms and Conditions
By entering the competition, you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.
1. THE PROMOTER
1.1 The Promoter is: IKEA Limited of Witan Gate House, 500-600 Witan Gate West, Milton Keynes, MK9 1SH.
2. HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION
2.1 The competition will run from Saturday 13th April (the “Opening Date”) to 11.59pm Saturday 10th May (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
2.2 All competition entries must be received by the promoter by no later than 11.59pm on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
2.3 To enter the competition, share your snaps from The #WonderfulEverday Tour using your Instagram or Twitter account and including the hashtag #wonderfuleveryday.
2.4 No purchase necessary, however a valid email address, Twitter or Instagram account and internet access is required.
2.5 The Promoter will not accept:
(a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, damaged or delayed regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
2.6 The competition entries will be judged by the IKEA UK&IE Marketing function in accordance with the following criteria:
(a) strength of visual appeal of the image;
(b) creativity of the image; and
(c) the effort put in to show #wonderfuleveryday
2.7 The decision of the judge (acting reasonably) will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
3.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
(a) employees of the Promoter;
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
3.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
3.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer;
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(d) photocopies and not originals; or
3.4 Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
3.5 The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
4. THE PRIZE
4.1 Ten (10) winners will win a £100 IKEA gift card to redeem at the new IKEA Exeter store during the period [10th May 2018] to 10th June 2018]. The gift card cannot be redeemed online or in any other IKEA store.
4.2 There is no cash alternative for the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so. 4.3 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
5. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
5.1 The winner of the competition will be contacted via a direct message or comment under their winning post on Twitter or Instagram or via email within five (5) working days of judging (“Announcement Date”).
6. CLAIMING THE PRIZE
6.1 If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 14 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by sending IKEA UK a private message on Twitter or Instagram or responding via email. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
6.2 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
6.3 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
7.1 As far as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
8. OWNERSHIP OF COMPETITION ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
8.1 The Promoter does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry. Copyright will remain with you.
8.2 By entering the competition, you give your permission for your photo to be used by the Promoter without further compensation for promotion purposes. You agree to the Promoter publishing the photo on their website and possible further use on their website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and other possible promotional use in store and media of the Promoter’s choosing. You agree to grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes. You give your permission for the Promoter to display your entry in a gallery on IKEA.co.uk as well as the IKEA FAMILY newsletter. You give permission for the Promoter to share your images editorially. You allow the Promoter to celebrate the images in IKEA stores in the UK and Ireland.
8.3 By entering the competition you confirm that:
(a) The image is your own work, is not defamatory and does not infringe third-party rights;
(b) There are no conflicting agreements in place that restrict the Promoter’s usage of the image;
(c) You have consent to use any third-party image in the entry and rights have been waived for that use.
9. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
9.1 If you are a winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
9.2 By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used only by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.4 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
