What is IKEAs return policy?

Your satisfaction with your IKEA purchase is important to us. If you are not completely happy or simply changed your mind, you can return your products within 365 days. IKEA will provide a full refund for items returned with proof of purchase during this period.

You can only return products bought from IKEA UK stores, via remote shopping or from the IKEA UK online website. You can also return a product if it has been opened or assembled. IKEA does not require the original packaging. If you want to exchange an item, you need to return it first and then make a new purchase.

You can return or exchange all IKEA products, except for food or drink, perishable product (cut flowers or plants), or custom-made product(s) (including worktops) or any other product(s) to which the exclusions in regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, apply. There must also not be any obvious signs of damage, stains or marks on the item. IKEA will give you a full refund after an assessment has been conducted and IKEA is reasonably satisfied that the products are returned to IKEA in re-sellable condition. You also cannot make any modifications to the product. Any modifications you do to a product such as drilling holes, painting or removing parts during use, will void the warranty, as it no longer functions the way it was designed and may have ruined the integrity of the product's structure. If you are returning a faulty item (that is not a major repair) that was not damaged by you, IKEA will either repair the item (at no cost to you) or offer you a refund.

Refer to IKEA refund policy for full terms and conditions regarding IKEA returns.
